Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Omelette Pork Katsu Curry - Curry is much more mellow and turmeric forward, with a slightly sweeter taste. Overall tasted good though, had some soft onions inside and decent umami that goes really well with the rice. I found the omelette lacked a bit of eggy flavour. Rice was cooked nicely. Pork had an uneven thickness, but overall the bites ranged from tender and juicy to lean but still moist. The katsu shell becomes really soft in the curry, but otherwise is quite crispy.

Nice little spot in the Annex with reasonable prices. I came here with my partner for dinner. I wasn't in the mood for anything very heavy so I went with a salad with fried chicken (came with sesame dressing). Quite tasty and compared to other places, the portion vs price was good. Chicken was juicy and freshly fried. My partner got the pork cutlet, egg, and rice. My partner said it was the best pork cutlet they ever had. Service was very friendly and prompt. I'd definitely come back here to try the other food. I also liked that it wasn't super busy and loud.

Really good curry, especiall for theprice. I'm so happy they make their own curry and not use golden curry. Their curry is a littl sweet, and paired with the hamburg, beef chunks, or any of it honestly, makes it even better. Everything is cooked to a perfection! 10/10

Probably one of the best Japanese curry restaurants in Toronto. I got their omelette curry rice with pork cutlet. Their curry has a distinct flavour compared to homecooked curry or other restaurants. It's not too salty and strong, but you can taste its richness, spices, and umami. The crunchiness of the pork katsu and the softness of the omelette complement the curry really well. It's surprising spicy as well, so I recommend to start from level 2 first.

The best curry I have ever had outside of Japan. The omelet rice is a must-have to enhance every curry dish on the menu! The creamy richness of the egg combines wonderfully with the savoury, umami curry and crunchy, salty pork or hamburger steak.

Nice Japanese curry place you never go wrong. The curry is full of different flavours. It is a night and day difference with the curry block we can buy in the supermarket. The servers are nice and helpful. The restaurant is clean and cosy. They have a great side dishes menu with Karaage (Deep fried chicken) the kids will love.

We discovered this place through Instagram, and since it closely resembled what we tried in Japan and was conveniently close by, we decided to give it a try. The portions were surprisingly generous; even the 2 M-sized curries we ordered were larger than expected. The chicken, pork, and sausage were all incredibly delicious. If you're craving authentic Japanese curry, this is definitely the place to go.

My family and I stopped at Maji Curry on Bloor/Bathurst for a late lunch. This is an award winning curry spot from Japan so I can hear it gets pretty busy, but since we came later in the afternoon we were seated right away. What I got: - Pork Cutlet Curry with Egg - Chicken Karaage Final Thoughts: The staff were really nice and you have many options to customize your curry from amount of rice and sauce to spice level. I just came back from Japan not too long ago and in comparison this meal is more expensive and I found the regular size portion to be a bit small. That being said, there aren't too many spots you can get Japanese curry so this is a great place to have for when the craving hits.
