My husband and I visited for brunch at 10am, and although there was a 45-minute wait, it was well worth it. The lentil soup arrived quickly and had an amazing flavor. We also ordered hummus, Cairo classic, Maha's mind-blowing chicken, and a side of Egyptian falafel. Their Egyptian falafel is a must-try - it's incredibly delicious! If you enjoy spicy food, their chili sauce is also stand out for me, it's full of flavour and compliment the dish!

A Hidden Gem You Must Try Maha’s Brunch is truly a gem, and if you haven’t been, you’re missing out on an extraordinary experience. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, who shared the heartwarming story behind the restaurant—it was opened a decade ago by a family: a mother, her daughter, and her son. Their dedication and passion have even earned them a spot on the Michelin list for several years, and in my opinion, they’re more than deserving of a Michelin star. The standout dish for me was the Cairo Classic—a unique and flavorful option that redefines what brunch can be. Their latte menu was also impressive, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, which is a rare find these days. The service was just as exceptional as the food. The servers were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to Doğaç for the amazing service! If you’re a brunch lover or just someone who appreciates delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere, Maha’s Brunch should be your next stop. Highly recommended!

There’s a reason people line up down the block for an hour in freezing weather just to dine here! The smells and flavors are intoxicating and you’ll love everything you eat or drink at Maha’s. The only thing better than the food is the heartfelt warm hospitality! If you’re a foodie, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

As the other reviews have said, it’s a long line but so worth it! It took about 45 minutes and we went on a Saturday. We are definitely coming back to try more. The food and drinks were incredible- we ordered the date grilled cheese with lentil soup, Egyptian falafel, and an iced hazelnut latte. Delicious and great portion sizes. The service was also wonderful, every server was so friendly and helpful. Most of all, I love the aesthetic of Maha's. It's filled with Egyptian decor and looks so cool. Can't wait to come back.

Had a beautiful Sunday brunch at Maha's, a cozy and charming gem nestled in Toronto. There’s usually a bit of a wait to get in, but it’s absolutely worth it. The guest service is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food is on a whole other level. We tried the Cairo Classic, basturma scramble, and the award-winning lentil soup with date grilled cheese. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor—truly a chef’s kiss! To top it all off, we indulged in the honey cardamom latte, which was a perfect complement to the meal. The restaurant’s aura and environment are lively and busy, but in the best way possible—it adds to the charm and energy of the place. We were also seated at a beautiful spot in the restaurant, making the experience even more special. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and Maha’s has firmly secured its place as our top pick for breakfast and beyond. Highly recommended!

In short, Maha's was a pleasant lunch/brunch spot with nice window seating, old school 'classic' interior, and attentive and friendly staff. I rate it as 'middle of the road'. The food quality was quite good as were the portions, but some of the items lacked flavour depth. Although Maha's is quite decent in isolation, I felt that the premium price tag and 1h+ lineup was not worth it. For the same price and wait, I believe there are other brunch spots in Toronto to consider with premium features above Maha's. We ordered the following: - Date Grilled Cheese (Do recommend this dish, particularly with the lentil soup option. My partner enjoyed dipping the sandwich in the soup but I enjoyed them better separately) - Cairo Classic (dish highlight - the Falafel & Pita, the rest of the plate tasted like home cooking, not bad at all but not necessarily special in a food-forward city like Toronto) - Maha's Mind Blowing Chicken Sandwich (Do not recommend this dish, although the chicken was fresh, it lacked flavour despite being loaded with sauce)

Great atmosphere and very attentive service. Waiters were always making sure we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. Foods had super interesting flavours that were very new to me. I wish the food was a little bolder and spicier but I was still very pleased with the meal. Portions are quite big so I wouldn’t order appetizers if you’re already ordering a main. I recommend the lentil soup and the shakahuka. The special latte was also quite good

Literally my favourite brunch spot in the city. Every time I go the staff are always so sweet and professional, there is usually a line on weekends that moves pretty fast, but is 100% worth it and is a reflection on their service and quality of food. My go tos are always the date sandwich, lentil soup, or the mind blowing burger. The interior is also so beautiful, and I never want to leave!
