Recently discovered this new restaurant in the area, great japanese food and excellent service! I take the time to add a note because I love japanese food and I find it difficult to find a good place that is not super expensive in Toronto.

Loved the place and food. The restaurant has very nice Japanese ambience. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our host was very polite and helped us with food suggestion. The restaurant accomodated our dietary preferences. Food is very good. If you are in downtown and craving for sushi, you should visit this restaurant. Note : Menu has vegetarian options too.

I was a big fan of Guirei- Maguro is a lovely face lift and overall upgrade! Nice physical refresh of the place; patio is prettier, interior is much nicer. Service on my first visit was top notch, the chef behind the counter and server were so personable, warm, welcoming. Efficient without being obtrusive. Food was INCREDIBLE. Both of my orders came with complimentary upgrades. The basic food itself is so flavour filled, clearly using proper and fresh ingredients. Bit pricier than Guirei, but you clearly get what you pay for. I had just finished an intensely long day at work. Treated myself to a pint and meal while overlooking the waterfront and Music Garden. It was truly perfect all around. Thank you, see you again very soon.

This place has replaced the previous Japanese restaurant we were visiting almost every week. It got a new owner new interior, new furniture and dishes. But unfortunately it has not inherited such big taste portions and affordable prices from the previous place. So now for our regular sushi dinner spot we choose the different place in this area. I will be missing the lake view patio, but food is more important. We will come here a few times more to make the final conclusion and see if there will be positive changes. If you still landed here, I would recommend their deep fried ice cream. The rest of the food was average or even below 😞

Fantastic Sushi restaurant in Toronto! The sashimi melted in my mouth, and the rolls were expertly balanced in flavor and texture. The service was attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for top-notch sushi and a wonderful dining atmosphere, I highly recommend this place!

There's a live sushi station. New team and management. Still figuring out things a bit. But staff is courteous. Gyozas are great, and loved the spicy ramen. Definitely going back to try more
