The proportions were so big and bang for buck. I payed around 100$ cad and for that i got. Chicken/shrimp jaozi, shrimp dumpling, Bbq beef kebob, signature lamb xan jiang style, beef fried rice, shrimp springroll, corn/egg drop soup and king pao chicken. The food was awesome and halal. The best were the dumplings, soup, jaozi, and spicy beef fried rice. The lamb special was pretty good. the kung pao chicken and bbq beef wasn’t MY favourite but that’s just my opinion. But the proportions were huge, one small soup can feed 4-5 people. and the food was defo worth for the price. service was really nice.

First time coming here, the noodle soup bowls was too tiny for soup and the noodles was too long, the dumplings was very good, and the lamb skewers were very delicious, I'm thankful its 100% halal! it gets packed for some time come near 3pm on the weekdays. Service was fast and friendly. Its cozy. We also had beef chili's, the black tea is a great cleanser to wash all that yummy food down. Food is food don't complain. Try here if you're in the city! I would come here again for sure! 😇 when you go in and order soup you'll get these small bowls kinda pinkish too. its not like reg soup bowls. 😐 like you see in the picture. ALSO we had Bao to fill and eat and the meat was so good it was lamb or beef I cant remember 🙄

You won't be disappointed by dropping by this place—both the taste and the portions are impressive! The lunch set menus offer generous servings of rice and noodles. I ordered the last lamb rice of the day, and it was cooked to perfection, with the rice soaking up the fresh gravy. The vegetables were a pleasant surprise, tasting great without being overly salty. If we weren't traveling, I would definitely have taken some home. The prices are very reasonable considering the size and taste of the dishes.

Delicious and authentic Chinese food. Highly recommend the Xinjiang crispy beef, hand-pulled noodles and custard buns. The Xinjiang beef was fried to maximum crispiness and seasoned to perfection! The noodles were SUCCULENT and was a whole eating experience of its own. The custard buns were filled with custard, making every bite fulfilling. They gave us corn soup as a starter for free, which was great but bland in comparison to all the dishes we ordered. The service was fast and professional. Loved the atmosphere and the cleanliness.

Wow after reading the reviews I had to see what all the hype was all about! Ordered Spicy Beef Fried Rice. Very very flavourful but could have been a bit more spicier. Now onto the bbq...Bbq Beef Kabob, BBQ Chicken Kabob and the BBQ Lamb Kabob. Wow. The meat was marinated so well. The lamb was so tender! The chicken juicy and not over cooked. The beef also juicy. All 3 were packed with so much flavour. The food was outstanding!

I think I will be singing the praises of this hidden gem for a long time to come. If you ask me where to go in Barrie for INCREDIBLE Chinese cuisine, this will be my answer. Truly delicious. Truly authentic. Bright colours. Distinct flavours. Mouthwatering from start to finish. Honestly, I liked it ALL. And we did sharing plates, so I tried A LOT of dishes. You can't go wrong. Even the sweet and sour fish... which I would not specifically have chosen on my own... was AMAZING and I will be ordering it in the future. There is a HUGE difference between fast food Chinese and AUTHENTIC. Please try this place and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. They don't allow enough stars. I would give Magical Taste of China more than 5. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Note: 100% Halal meats ALL THE TIME. No need to ask. It is what they serve.
