Mademoiselle Raw Bar + Grill

💁‍♀️Okay I’m not gonna lie my first time here was NOT five star but it was understandable and here’s why: They were EXTREMELY busy, it was a Friday night and the bartenders were impossible to grab their attention, they only served those they knew. 🥲 Evidence of this was I was standing there for 10 mins and not one bartender came or gave any eye contact yet a lady came up beside me and got her drink within seconds. I was told it’s because ‘he knows her’. It took me 30+ mins to get a drink due to this and it really turned me off the place for a while. I was visibly annoyed enough that a kind gentleman told me go upstairs service is better at that bar…ordered a simple drink rum & coke, the bartender told me “Oh, he can make it for you” and pointed to his colleague which I found odd, I asked him if he’s able to make it he said “yes” and I further asked “why didn’t you?” He simply shrugged 🤷‍♂️ That was my first time ever here and it did make a big impression so I didn’t return for MONTHS. Since then I’ve been back twice, sat at the sushi bar, we had a nice view of the kitchen, great drinks and food. 👨‍🍳 This last time I came much earlier on a Friday night and I must say, the service was awesome, food was incredible and everything was above and beyond, I think I transcended when I ate that salmon I would’ve licked the plate if there was no one watching. Fantastic drinks as well, I’m glad I gave this place another shot. As for the late night service…if the same difficulty to service higher crowds is still a stumbling block with this establishment, due to lack of eye contact or just selective servicing that remains to be seen…👀

A party of 12 of us attended Mademoiselle for our annual Christmas dinner. The food quality was top notch but the sequencing of the serving was absolutely awful. From start to finish our meals took over 1 hr to be served. In one case, the lobster spaghetti was served cold. In another, the steak was so undercooked it was blue. Now for the good....the atmosphere was beautiful and the server was excellent. Where Mademoiselle fails is that they are not able to effectively handle the serving of large parties to ensure people are all receiving their food at the same time and that the food quality is constant. Our server was amazing and she was genuinely concerned with our dissatisfaction at the food service delivery.

We had THE most amazing time at Mademoiselle! We wanted a vibe, music, and dinner and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Complimentary coat check, amazing table, food, wine, dessert. What I loved the most was the special touches to make you feel special and comfortable without asking. This was the best service we’ve had going out in Toronto in a very long time. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

I went here for a birthday with a reservation for 10 people. When they initially sat our group down they mentioned that the bill can be done in groups of 4. So we initially had 7 people at the time and when the server spoke to us about how the bill would be split we had decided 2 bills for a group of 3 and 4 people. Then the last couple to join our group came late after we were seated. The venue itself is nice, food was decent but overpriced. My truffled chicken supreme reminded me of chicken I ate at a wedding reception and underwhelming for the hype, truffle fries and rigatoni contadina tasted good. The music was deafening you have to yell to one another, because it’s like a club at night. When it came to get the bill our server mentioned that they can only do 1 bill divided by 4. I explained that’s not what was discussed when we initially were seated. The server then went to the manager and said they can’t do that. If it wasn’t for the couple with our group explaining that if they had known and were told as they came late they wouldn’t have ordered a $100 bottle of wine and that’s when the server went back and divided the bill amongst the 3 groups. Honestly I would not return to this place for dinner because you can’t really enjoy the food, very overpriced for basic food, and when the music is so loud and you can’t even talk to your friends without shouting. Let alone I would not do a big group to dine here to split the bill is nightmare. One person will end up paying the bill and it’s not really fair if some people ordered more than others.

Great food, music and service! Our food and drinks came out quickly, empty dishes cleared regularly, and our server was very sweet. Sure it has a higher price point but you're coming here for a good time rather than value.

What really impacted our evening was the excessively loud music, it was so loud that we found ourselves practically shouting just to have a conversation. Food was very average too.

The ambiance was inviting, with beautiful decorations and great music, creating a perfect atmosphere. The quality of the meal was outstanding—especially the salmon and shrimp, which were incredibly delicious. I loved their cocktails too. The staff were considerate, cheerful, and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I have wanted to try this spot for ages. I was aware it turns into a club vibe so I was sure to make an early reservation. Absolutely love the decor 10/10. The food was quite good, but nothing really stood out that I'd want to come back for. Quite pricey, but I did order a lot of food so that was expected.
