Highly recommend the duck dish (feel like Hawaii style Peking duck), I’m especially impressed by the tender texture of duck breast. French omelette is super tender, recommend trying. Loco moco is kind is disappointing, the beef patty is dry and the sauce is very salty.

We went during happy hour and ordered many dishes to share. The decor and the presentation of the food was great! Definitely can feel a vibe of Haiwaii!

I thought I'd try a new place and Lulu bar came up on my search results. Upon arrival, I thought the restaurant was nicely built, modern design that gave a warm feeling. Our server was well knowledgeable about the menu and delivered an excellent service. To be completely honest, I was not enticed by the food options. I was not sure what to order. So I decided to order some small dishes. Sate chicken: it was super soft but the flavour was subtle. Mushroom skewers: well-made and delicious. Thai sausage skewers: the sausage itself tasted great. Well seasoned and nicely cooked. But the side sauce did not have any flavour. Steamed lobster dumplings: the dumplings were nice, soft, slightly gooey (good gooey), and flavourful. I felt that it had a slightly citrusy flavour possibly yuzu which was not mentioned on the menu. The bathrooms were clean but out of napkins which was rectified as soon as I let a staff member know. Overall I'd give 10/10 to the service 9/10 atmosphere. (it was hard to read the menu or take pictures of our food due to low lights) 5/10 to food. This is strictly my personal opinion as I did not like a lot of the menu options.

We reserved this place for a birthday dinner. They didn’t do anything to make it special. The hostess was okay, it was our first time here and she took a long time to spill out that we needed to take an elevator to go up. It was a little awkward. Food was small portions for the price, even though they said everything was to be shared. The mussels and beef tongue were excellent. Lobster dumplings and fried chicken were small portions. Huge letdown with a pile of beansprouts on top of the chicken to make it look decent. The sour beansprouts didn’t go well with the tiny amount of chicken on a small clump of rice. King oysters were very salty. Lots of lemongrass and coconut flavours. The drinks were tasty. The servers were very attentive. Go to a Vietnamese or Thai place if you’re curious about this place. Same spices and seasonings. Happy hours would be best for the drinks. Food is nonmemorable and a little ripoff. I wouldn’t come back.

Got happy hour drinks here and it was quite the enjoyable time! We got the cat drink and another orange drink and they were quite tasty. They came quickly and also came in nice beverage containers. We ordered the potatoes and those also came quite quickly. The flavour of the potatoes with the sauce mixed well. The little sausage bits in there also complemented the flavour. The service here was also very attentive and nice. The atmosphere was pretty chill and not too busy.

Menu is very different - a mix of thai, french and Hawaiian. Everything we tried was exceptional. The patio was pretty and quiet. Go between 2 and 5 for great happy hour specials!

Nice restaurant, but I expected more: unremarkable. Here is why: FOOD: The food here was designed to share and we followed the recommendations, trying a chips and dip. The chips and dip did not pair well together: perhaps it’s the shape and texture, perhaps it’s the ingredients, but it felt like it was trying too hard. The skewers we had were quite nice: beef tongue and as I ate it I was surprised how great the flavour balance was and how nice and soft it was—definitely my favourite dish. We also tried their oyster mushroom dish as a start and went for the duck as the main. The duck was not bad, but my guests mentioned that they have had better. I personally thought it was good and as good as other times we all had duck together. For clarity: yes, I enjoyed the duck despite my companions not liking it. DRINKS The drinks here were fancy and good. SERVICE The service was nice, but some of the slowest I had in Toronto. It’s probably that they were overwhelmed? Perhaps needs a look from management here. ATMO The place is very pretty. All in all, I do not remember any dish that really stands out here. It was like it was made for an average taste.

I liked everything about this place and it’s a pretty easy restaurant to recommend. It’s my second time here because I wanted to try more of their food, having focused mostly on cocktails and dessert on my first visit. The fried coconut squid was surprisingly unique compared to what you might expect from the common fried calamari in many restaurants. It has a nice mix of sweet, salty, some sour and spice. Not greasy, and was a nice starter. The beef tongue had a great texture to them like crisp and tender at once and I liked the way they were folded into the skewer. It’s a flavourful couple bites. The oyster mushrooms also had a nice texture, not too soft and had a good flavour. The duck was pretty interesting and it had a lot of components served with it. The sliced duck was pretty tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The braised duck was also an interesting preparation to add as filling for making wraps. I thought the turmeric crepes were unique. I also really liked the sauces that it came with, particularly the sweet sauce. One comment on this is there wasn’t really an introduction to all the different components when the dish was placed on our table, which would’ve been helpful. We had to ask when the server got back to explain what all the items were. They gave us complimentary coconut marshmallows which was nice and soft and not too sweet. The shaved ice had a nice pineapple flavour to it, and was a nice texture. I appreciate the attention from the staff to provide a great experience overall throughout the evening.
