LUCKY DONKATSU

We ordered the pork with classic sauce and chicken with spicy sauce (the more red one in the photos). Really tasty! Perfectly fried and crispy. While both were good, we both agreed chicken was slightly better (a bit juicier than pork). The spicy sauce had some kick, and is a good choice for fans of spice. I wish they gave just a bit more rice. It was enough for like four or five small bites. Overall, I’d definitely recommend a visit. We’ll be back for sure to try the other sauce we didn’t get this time (curry).

Really good and delicious. Had the spicy Katsu and it was perfect, not too spicy. The portions are huge but that’s expected. I really liked the Mac salad too.

The katsu‘s were good, but something was missing with the taste. The sauce felt like it needed more umami/salt and I personally thought the pork wasn’t juicy. I did enjoy the truffle fries. Those were flavorful and crispy. Service was okay, it was hard to find a server to refill our water and to flag the bill.

I love the retro diner style of this restaurant but also the food was delicious and comforting! I got the curry chicken donkatsu. The side dishes are the perfect portion and complement the main dish really well! It was one of the best I’ve ever had in the city.

Classic Donkatsu with classic sauce was good. The pork was nice crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The classic sauce was okay but felt it was missing something. The Hamburg Steak with Chedder Bomb was great in presentation (see video) but a complete miss in taste. The Hamburg steak was nicely cooked but the sauce killed the dish in a bad way. The sauce was way too sweet that it masked all the flavour. All I could taste was an over powering “sweet bomb” in my mouth :(

August 12, 2024 - I recently saw this on my instagram and knew I wanted to visit. I went about 1hr before closing. The interior is nice and clean. Also the server was very nice. I asked the server what sauce goes well with the Sweet Potato Mousse, she recommended the spicy sauce. So I ordered the Classic Donkatsu w/ spicy sauce and sweet potato mousse. It wasn't long after that that my food arrived. The pork was very tender, crispy and juicy, I definitely enjoyed it with the spicy sauce and sweet potato mousse. It's quite big, I couldn't finish it. So I took half of it home. Definitely going back with my friends!

We ordered the classic Donkatsu with classic sauce and sweet potato mousse on top, as well as the Hamburg steak with cheese on top! I should say both were absolutely delicious 🤤😋 but my personal fav was the classic donkatsu and let me tell you the sweet potato mousse is a MUST! It’s soooo good I couldn’t help but enjoy every bite. Definitely coming back and absolutely recommend. The service and the vibe of the place was amazing as well! PS: I don’t usually do reviews but from my preference this restaurant needed one, totally satisfied☺️ go go support!!

Came here with a group of 4 for the first time and had a lovely experience! I really enjoyed the decor and ambience. Service was INCREDIBLE and staff were attentive. We got the assorted platter which was super fun to eat with the variety of food on there. The food on the platter was good but the star of the show was the cream albob clay pot rice that was super hearty and decadent. We also got the banana shaved ice which was unique!
