Lone Star Texas Grill

We visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve DAY around 3:45 p.m. When we arrived the restaurant was basically empty. The manager or whoever greeted us at the front of the restaurant asked if we had reservations. We did not. This seemed to be a huge problem, and a big explanation ensued. So I asked, "are you expecting hundreds of people to arrive in the next hour?" His reply was yes, he was expecting many people to arrive. I apologized for not having a reservation, and actually offered to take my business elsewhere, no hard feelings. But we were seated, enjoyed what we ordered and were on our way in just under an hour. Note: the restaurant was STILL basically empty. I completely understand that if we had arrived at 6 p.m. without reservations on NYE, this would be problematic. But at 3:45? I could have done without the lecture on the importance of reservations. :(

Enjoyed the New Year’s Eve special! Great value and the food was delicious. Our server Tango did an amazing job as did the whole staff.

I love this place. We don’t go often but it’s a banger. The food was top notch. The shrimp tacos probably the best I’ve ever had. The service was a 10/10. Everything about it was premium. My wife and I had an amazing date there and we will be back. Likely soon.

Nice place. Server was nice but very inattentive. Food was very disappointing. By far the worst chicken wings I've ever had. They were over cooked, there was little to no meat on the bones and the "mild" sauce was literally like a spicy oil with zero flavour. It was nasty. Thank god they serve tortilla chips with salsa.

Love the set up, it’s a beautiful place. The food started off delicious, amazing guacamole, my meal was amazing tasted look good looked good however my spouse meal was sad looking. The steak he originally wanted wasn’t available. His steak was undercooked, I definitely thought curly fries would be better than what was served. We also noticed a worker who was doing the tortillas, was not wearing her hair up and was not wearing a hairnet.

It's a shame the chef's talents are overshadowed by weak service. Staff is not seen, but you can hear them laughing and chatting behind in kitchen. Steak was great, cooked exactly how I asked. Well seasoned. Tortilla chips are always warm and a nice bonus.

We had burgers with the house salad and fries. This was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant like this one. The Margareta was hugh and tasty Love the complimentary sombero, and the chips and salsa were a nice touch. Tyler was helpful and attentive. The price was reasonable for the good food. The atmosphere was good as well. Allowed for intimate conversation without feeling isolated.

This place used to be one my our favourite place for date night and now I don’t even like to consider for eating. I have to delete my old review to add my feelings for this restaurant. After last night what we have to go through I wouldn’t even like to go again in this location I would rather go to the Newmarket location. We been last night around 8:35-8:40pm and restaurants wasn’t busy at all and food came too late with all bad things first then nachos they give has rotten tomatoes taste. Food came super late even though there is only 3 tables were occupied and two people on barside. Condiments were not fresh you see picture and they forget to make duos fajitas as recommended by server correctly it should be buffalo on side and forget to add souse and gave souse on side. Upon asking the server(manager) said he forgot to add. He knew what mistake in order and brought the Buffalo souse later with now apologies. We asked to extra paper on side usually that are grilled but this time straight from the fridge. Upon complaining all this manager offer us to free appetizer for next visit. I wasted my whole date night there and they just offered appetizers card and we have to left hungry from there to get almost 10 pm to find another place where we can eat. I highly not recommend this place. And I’ll make sure to pass on the my other friends.
