Lokum Eats - Food by Tradition is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.

Lokum is known as Turkish delight in western world. It became very popular in 18th century in Europe. Many confectionaries tried to find its’ secret to replicate it; however, with not much success. Lokum is not just a sweet treat for the Turkish people, it is also a way to greet guests, therefore, I named my company Lokum Eats. My guests will always have lokum at any event that is hosted by Lokum Eats. It is a sign of hospitality, friendship and goodwill. Lokum Eats will carry this tradition on.

A must go-to for every diet type. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited. The interior is welcoming with soft pastels and bohemian decor, and I appreciate a well designed space. This place is a great alternative to the typical Thai, Mexican, Sushi and Gastro pub options in the Junction. I have not have not had access to healthy creative vegetarian options like this in this area and was overjoyed with the menu. I wanted to try many dishes! I went with the bean salad and was delighted. My friend had the saucy shrimp dish and was also satisfied. These dishes were filling, rich in flavour and well finessed. We took leftovers home. The owner was pleasant and kind, and the prices were fair. I would strongly recommend visiting this location as they do have something for everyone - vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters. Interior 5/5 , service 5/5, menu 5/5. Thank you Lokum.

Absolutely lovely. Amazing food, kind staff, and very beautiful space (even the washroom is cute). I went there with my Turkish friend and we tried the traditional Turkish breakfast for two. At first, we thought it would not be enough, but we ended up taking some of it home. Although, the food is so amazing and delicious that you don't want to stop! You can tell that whoever is running this place has a true passion for food and the Turkish culture. A hidden gem in the Junction for sure!

Cute local Turkish restaurant with lovely service. The warm bread goes well with the variety of delicious mezes. I really enjoyed the manti and chicken dishes.

Visited this quaint and pretty Turkish restaurant in the Junction for brunch today. The vibe is super cozy and intimate. Service was quick and friendly too. I ordered the Turkish coffee which was served with a Turkish Delight on the side. Also got the Turkish Eggs which were delicious. They replaced the bread with the Simit for me at no extra cost on my request. That gesture was very appreciated. I enjoyed the eggs - runny and cooked to perfection. I used the simit to mop up the eggs, yogurt and spices. A very refreshing brunch dish. Will definitely return! Paid around $25 per head which is pretty decent.

The food was amazing and it was such a cute little spot. Really enjoyed the fruity sangria and muhammara. For a main, I had the kebab, which was rich and quite a generous portion. Looking forward to coming back for lunch or breakfast to try out more of the menu.

This was one of our first times having Turkish food, and it was delightful! The place is really pretty, the staff are wonderful, and—most importantly—the food is great! While I can’t speak to its authenticity, everything was so flavourful and came with a decent quantity. One of my favourite things was the muhummara, but everything was delicious. We got way too much food for two people, but no regrets! Highly recommend trying out this place!

Very delicious and delightful atmosphere! The staff were very ready and kindly helpful in getting us anything we needed! As an Eastern European myself, it was so great to have something like this pop up in the Junction! A pleasant surprise, but a welcome one to be sure. I can't speak of its authenticity, but the quality is damn good! Just be careful, it's spiced as is most cuisines like this! Don't go expecting bland food - and I mean that in the best way possible! Highly recommended!!!
