LOCAL Public Eatery Liberty Village

Had a fantastic experience at Local in Liberty Village after a Canada soccer match! My friends and I stopped by for a quick bite, and we were pleasantly surprised. Initially, we weren’t sure what to order, but Dana, our server (who was also working the bar), recommended the beef tacos. They were absolutely amazing—so good that I had to order another round! Dana was incredibly friendly, chatted with us, and made us feel at home without ever making us feel rushed. Even though the place was packed and lively, the food came out quickly, and the service was top-notch. Sofia, another waitress, also went out of her way to be helpful, answering questions about the menu with a smile. Great food, great vibes, and amazing staff. Highly recommend!

I visited Local recently and have developed a pretty clear opinion on the place. The food was good, and I appreciated that they provided the sour cream I requested without any issues. The service was friendly, but there’s room for improvement. I received some inaccurate information about the menu and drinks a few times, which could be better managed. The atmosphere was great! I especially enjoyed the game table—it’s a nice touch that creates a fun and welcoming environment. Also, I absolutely loved the cider on tap—it was a highlight for me!

I’ve been coming to this place for years now, and may I say, I’ve never been disappointed here. Fantastic management, service here feels like a welcome home. Let me tell you, if you’re feeling down and need a place to cheer you up, yeah right here! Also, join their league points system, I got a free starter after my first transaction. Honestly, I love this place!

Fun cute bar with indoor and outdoor sitting, still vibing at midnight 1am on a Friday night. We ordered from happy hour (10pm til close), the drink is decent, dont order the full loaded potatoes, was not that great. Will come back mainly for the atmosphere

Great place to stop with the family before a Conan Gray concert at Budweiser Stage. Service was very friendly and very quick. Food was good - my fish tacos were delicious (great balance), and the rest of my family enjoyed theirs if not blown away. I appreciated that there was good beer for me, and a kids menu for my youngest. The food came out fast. My only complaint is the noise level. If you want a loud sports bar playing 80s music, all good, just a bit high volume for our taste. We could have sat outside so that's on us.

My colleagues and I came here for a company lunch and we had a lovely experience! This is definitely one of the hot spots to eat in Liberty Village. We didn’t have a reservation and it was absolutely packed during lunch time, but the servers diligently got a table ready for us and we really appreciated their efforts! Our waitress was also very nice and gave some great recommendations since we couldn’t decide! The outside patio has roofing to cover from the sun and in case it rains. The seating options are varied, with tables, long picnic benches and booths being the options outside and regular tables and bar seating inside. I got The Brooklyn Burger and requested the Yam Fries with Truffle Mayo. It was absolutely delicious! The flavours in the burger were unique (such as the red pepper relish) and were all very harmonious. The Yam Fries were crispy, piping hot and went perfectly with the Truffle Mayo. I definitely recommend taking your lunch break at this spot, or simply coming with a group of friends or family to enjoy the delicious food in a hip-happening atmosphere!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Local! I was unsure what to order, but our lovely and sweet server, Jodie, came to the rescue with some fantastic recommendations. She suggested the yummy dumplings, the pork bowl, and topped it all off with a delicious dessert. Every bite was incredible! Jodie’s friendly service and spot-on suggestions made the meal even more enjoyable.

Came here for lunch with a friend and the atmosphere at LOCAL is always great! They have a really nice patio with lots of seating and a retractable rooftop. It's always packed in the summer, so my advise is to either make a reservation or visit early during non-peak hours. The service was okay. My friend and I had to wait for our server to come and provide us with our water. Otherwise, the food was okay as well. Nothing really special about the menu (regular pub food). The one thing that I did like were the fish tacos. This is a good spot to meet and hang out with friends for a quick meal and some drinks.
