Lobongo Fine Dining

Went here for NYE. They charge $25 per person for all you can eat. Little did they say, they charge for drinks. They charged $2.00 for a can of pop. Who does that? You couldn’t just include the drinks along with the price for the buffet? Buffet food was mediocre. However, owners are SUPER CHEAP. They serve the food for you. They serve extremely small portions. To the point where multiple patrons asked for second servings. The manager watches like a hawk. If the server gave you a second servings the manager literally would signal them angrily. Extremely horrible customer service. Service was very subpar. We had glass bottles of water that kept running out. We asked the waiters multiple times to refill the water. Restaurant owners try cheap marketing techniques by treating social media influencers for free to get positive reviews on Facebook. They’re so cheap that they wanted to serve individual mishtis, look at the picture. The manager or owner was measuring the food and kept taking trays of food back and forth between the two halls. God forbid if we ever return here.

Avoid This Restaurant at All Costs! My family and I recently visited this restaurant for the buffet, and it was an absolute nightmare. While eating, I found a DEAD BUG in my food. It was fat, had long lines, and was clearly not something that should be anywhere near a plate. When I showed the waiter, he had the audacity to lie and claim it was just a "black seed seasoning" an obvious excuse to cover up the issue. To make matters worse, after I complained, they gave me a complimentary plate, but still charged me for the buffet. No apology, no proper resolution just a half-hearted attempt to fix their mistake. This place is clearly a health hazard and I wouldn't trust them to prepare food for anyone. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this restaurant. It’s disgusting, unsafe, and unprofessional. I will never return, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Mouthwatering food with great service were the star of my visit to Lobongo. I personally tasted Kichuri and Beef Kala Bhuna and I would highly recommend it. (Siraj bhai best)

Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, and you could tell everything was made with love and care. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Whether you're a fan of spicy dishes or prefer something mild, there's something for everyone. Lobongo is truly a hidden gem in Scarborough, and I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service.

Visited this Bangladeshi restaurant with a colleague based on his recommendation, and it did not disappoint! Our group of four ordered a variety of dishes, including chicken biryani, mutton kacchi biryani, beef tehari, khichuri, and borhani. I tried both the biryanis, and they were delicious. However, I particularly loved the chicken biryani for its balanced flavor. The meat was tender, and the rice was perfectly spiced. The use of local Chinigura rice instead of the usual long-grain Basmati added a unique touch and brought a sense of homecoming to our taste buds. The service was also quite good. I would definitely visit again.

We went to the restaurant to have launch. The food items were pretty expensive but that’s not the main issue. The food portions they served at this price range was so less it could barely even serve one people forget about sharing with others. The tandoori chicken was so small you could eat it one bite. They don’t serve any kind of sauce with their kabab items which most of the restaurants provide. You cannot even finish one nan with a single order of kabab. We ordered 3 orders of their expensive item beef Kala bhuna but it was mostly oil,fat and bones about 70%. We could barely find meats to chew on. Their customer service was not good at all. The employees were sitting and gossiping all the time instead of serving us which was very sad. Food taste and environment was decent but considering the price, portions and customer service I cannot give it more than 1 star. If they don’t fix these issues they are gonna be in some big loss.

One of the best Bangladeshi restaurants I have been and I visited almost all high end and/or mid-level Bangladeshi restaurants in Toronto. Food was really tasty, the stuffs were amazing and the environment was beautiful. What else is needed!!!

Starting with a positive note- Borhani was great! Star is only for Borhani! Our server was nice and friendly. We ordered Chicken Chaap and Beef Chaap (served with 2 luchis,salad and pop) as our server recommended when we asked. Both chicken and beef chaap tasted like fish curry! It feels like they just poured gravy/ sauce from fish curry on beef and chicken. Meat wasn’t cooked properly- hard and chewy and also mostly fat. Luchi was super oily and not puffed at all. We had to wipe the oil from luchi with paper napkin. Consequence- Had stomach upset next morning!
