Levant Pizza is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.

At Levant (not) Pizza, we pride ourselves on crafting exceptional (not) pizza using time-honored artisanal techniques. Our process begins with the creation of our signature focaccia, made from the finest "00" Italian flour and cold-proofed for an impressive four days. This results in a sumptuously thick yet incredibly airy dough, which is then expertly pressed into a well-oiled pan and left to rest overnight before being baked to perfection. The outcome? Our renowned light and crispy focaccia that tastes like it came out of a sicilian restaurant, the cornerstone of our mouthwatering creations.

Great food! Service was absolutely terrible. I don’t know what it was with our server that day but he was not responsive, he was kind of rude leaving the plates further on the table. Having a headphone on and not even paying attention. So I probably would not go back because of how bad the service was. Again, food was great so maybe do takeout.

Nothing like what’s advertised on IG. I was really looking forward to the food from here but the quality of the food was just awful. The pizza was burnt, chicken wasn’t marinated well and their hot pepperoni (which has so many on them in the pics) had only 3-4 per square. The beef sandwich was so soggy and not crispy at all. The one thing that was amazing was their garlic sauce! Likely wouldn’t return again until there is some better quality control.

Very very good! Blend of Palestinian flavours and pizza. Focaccia base is very very good. Appetizers were also delicious. Our favourite was the potato mushroom pizza.

We went in by accident. We thought it was a real accident when reading what it wrote on the menu because what we wanted was a pizza meal. It turned out that the dough was amazing. It’s different from what we had before. The pizza bread was made in a honeycomb . Their garlic confit dipping is great. Must try. It makes the meal an experience. We recommend

New favorite spot 😍 delicious food, super friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. The dips are full of flavour and great texture. The (not) pizza is so flavourful. We tried the hot pepperoni and the sfiha (which was a heartwarming taste of home). Can't wait to come back!

I would honestly eat from Levant everyday if I could! My fave is the Spicy Shatta Bomba pizza - the flavour is incredible and I literally tell everyone I know about how delicious it is. I also love ordering it as mix and match with the Formaggi. I've ordered delivery/takeout from here countless times, even ordering a bunch of mix and match pizzas for a birthday party - which everyone adored. I've dined in once with 3 friends (1 vegan friend who had plenty to eat!) and we had a lovely time, our server was super friendly and welcoming - we really enjoyed chatting with them. All the other staff were really welcoming as well. Will need to come back to dine in again asap! Love supporting this Palestinian & Lebanese business 🇵🇸❤️🇱🇧

I've been here several times, discovered through some events they held with Yelp in the past. I always recommend their Shawarma Pizza, a side Arugula Salad, and a Tiramisu Kunafa. In a recent event, they provided some off-menu items like the Syrian-style shawarma pizza which was amazing and scrumptious, being a symphony of flavors. The combination of familiar ingredients came together in an unexpected, exciting, and explosive way for my taste buds. The kanafa bite was perfectly crunchy, light, and not overly sweet, a mini version of the Kunafa. I only wish it was on the menu so I could order more. I also ordered the arugula salad, which was a refreshing balance to their cheesy garlic focaccia which I had ordered for the first time as I was with a friend who was curious for it. Per the restaurant's advice, I high recommend reserving a table, as the place is sometimes packed! Despite being busy, the atmosphere is warm and intimate. The staff are incredibly nice, working their hardest, and making the experience even better with their attentiveness despite the constant flow of customers and guests. Overall, as someone who lives in the neighborhood, I highly recommend this place for bringing friends or just grabbing a slice to go.

Levant Pizza isn’t your typical pizza place where bold flavors and distinct characteristics hit you from the first bite. Instead, it’s a journey for your palate, with subtle nuances that reveal themselves as you savor each mouthful. What stands out initially is the beautifully chewy and airy dough, but as you keep going, the delicate blend of spices and the harmony of the toppings come alive. During my first visit, I tried the OG Shawarma, Upside Down Maqluba, and for dessert, the Traditional Kunafa. I also sipped on their Hibiscus Refresher, which had a surprisingly complex flavor reminiscent of a well-aged wine. Compared to other pizzas made with 00 flour, Levant Pizza’s dough maintains the right amount of chewiness but leans towards a softer texture. It almost feels like a different flour blend was used, and I mean that in the best way possible. The dough’s thickness, characteristic of Sicilian pizza, was spot on and very satisfying. The OG Shawarma had a pleasant balance of flavors with its chewy and soft texture, complemented by a thoughtful mix of spices and well-chosen toppings. Although it’s more intense compared to the Upside Down Maqluba, it’s restrained enough for those new to Mediterranean spices. Upside Down Maqluba is now my personal favorite. The bright flavors, balanced with the richness of the cheese, and the slightly charred roasted cauliflower and smoked eggplant, were absolutely divine. The garlic confit and the labneh creme tied it all together beautifully, creating a dish that felt both familiar and exotic at the same time. The soft, creamy texture of the Kunafa, enhanced by the gentle sweetness of the rose and orange blossom syrup, made for a comforting finish that contrasted wonderfully with the bold flavors of the pizzas. I can’t end this review without mentioning the Hibiscus Refresher. It was an unexpected delight, with a complex flavor profile that was both refreshing and sophisticated, almost like enjoying a glass of mature wine without the alcohol. If I had one suggestion, it would be to amplify these unique combinations even further. The subtlety and restraint are admirable, but in a world dominated by fast food and instant gratification, some might find this a bit challenging to appreciate at first. This is a pizza meant to be savored slowly, not hurried through. Overall, Levant Pizza is a fantastic choice for those looking to explore refined and innovative flavors. Just be prepared to take your time and let each bite surprise you.
