You HAVE to stop in and check out Leslieville Pumps if you're in the area. The shelfs are stocked with rare treats, pops and candies, which is definitely a throwback to your childhood. The BBQ is on point, too. I had a delicious Brisket Sandwich which is perfectly priced at $17 and will definitely make me a repeat visitor. Do yourself a favour, shop local, support the neighbourhood and benefiting from meeting two very kind owners who are trying to make a difference to the community and your belly.

Small portion of mac and cheese for $15 and it’s full of peas. I’m an adventurous eater and I consider this kind of just weird and unnecessary. More like mac and peas. It throws off what is supposed to be a classic comfort food. This place fell off. $5 bill for scale.

If I could give The Pumps more than 5 stars, I would! You get amazing food, that's always fresh and affordable for the quality and presentation. The staff and owners are some of the nicest people too! They ensure that you are always satisfied and leave feeling happy and content. It's truly amazing the variety of treats you can find within the store. There are things you never see on shelves at other places! I make it a tradition that when I am down in Lesliville, I always head to the pumps. I have never been disappointed! Looking forward to visiting again, soon!

Meat was dry, tough and cold. Bun was dry and made majority of the sandwich. Not worth it. All you need to know, it’s Indian owned. Zero passion. Read reviews before trying.

Brisket was really lean but quite tender, covered in a bbq sauce which compensates for the dryness. Overly sweet and lacks a smoky and salty flavour. The bun was also burnt/overtoasted, introducing bitter flavours that were off-putting. Otherwise bun was quite fluffy. Portions/proportions were also acceptable, but not the greatest.

Not often that I find myself in Leslieville these days, but here I was on a Monday morning with time to kill, walking by and decided to grab a breakfast sandwich. Had the BLT. Pretty good, but I was halfway through it before I noticed that they had BBQ brisket sandwiches. Dang, now I have to go back for lunch!

Friends brought us a treat from the Leslieville Pumps General Store & Kitchen so I can only rate on the Pumps loaded poutine with beef brisket. Overall, I'd give the poutine a 4/5. The poutine has the signature gravy and cheese curds. The online menu says there's a dark rich gravy and jus from their smoker. Was it drenched with gravy like how I like my poutines to be? Honestly, no. Since it seemed to be a bit lacking on the gravy, not all of my cheese curds were covered so I felt it to be a bit dry overall. You can see from the images that quite a few of my fries are a bit naked and dry looking. Others may be okay with this level of gravy. I just happen to like my poutines drenched. The highlight, of course, was the beef brisket. That certainly didn't disappoint. It was soft and flavourful with that classic smoky bbq taste. Overall, a pleasant experience thus ranking it 4/5 stars.

Just not worth it. $15 for a sandwich with nothing besides some beef and sauce is obscene. Maybe try something else on the menu. It’s good brisket and great sauce. But every bite had way more bun than anything else. Service was slow, which was strange because of how simple it seems to throw together something this simple.
