Leon's Garden (Chinese and Thai Restaurant)

Very warm experience from the get go. Extremely busy on New Years Eve so after putting through an order online they called to apologize and inform of a delay. Initially decided against moving forward but changed my mind and glad I did. The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. When I arrived they were kind and hospitable once again, apologizing for the delay. Would highly recommend this local family run restaurant!

Tried this new restaurant under new ownership. The family owned business has delicious American style Chinese food and all the dishes I had was well seasoned and cooked well. The highlight was the Chicken Balls as they were large, fresh, moist and the batter/chicken ratio is perfect. Definitely a step up from other places like Mandarin or Machu Wok.

It is unfortunate that I will never eat here again because the food is actually good, but the poor service outweighs the food quality. These folks cancelled our food order 5mins before it was supposed to be delivered. They showed zero guilt or empathy for their decision, and didn’t even apologize. We simply got a “we had to cancel your order because we have too many orders”. While cancelling an order is a part of life, they didn’t have to wait almost two hours to cancel it, leaving my family without any dinner on Christmas Eve, 5 minutes before we planned to sit down and eat it. They made no effort to work with us to find an alternative solution, or even offer anything to us to retain our future business. To me, it showed they don’t care about their customers.

Good looked great but was a let down, no flavour bland rice in my opinion just not great. Was hoping the new change of name made this place better but unfortunately not good 3/5 ⭐️

I was walking down bond street when I came across Leons Garden . I looked at there lunch menu and wasn't sure if I wanyed to try them . Then I came across a gentleman in a wheelchair and he told me the food was delicious and he eats there all the time. So i webt bavked and ordered there sesame seed chicken with coconut chicken soup both was delicious mainly the soup The next time I'm in Oshawa and graving Chinese or Thai food im going there The lady at the drontvwas very helpful and friendly and the place was clean

Great authentic Chinese Thai restaurant in Durham! Right in Downtown Oshawa across from a parking garage. Friendly staff, clean dining room, great prices and portion. Discounts on take out orders. Lunch and dinner combos available too!

This is the best authentic chinese and Thai food in Durham. We ordered pad Thai and Cantonese chow mein and they are delicious! I can taste the freshness of the ingredient and the seasoning is just like home taste. The price is unbeatable. They do cash discount as well. Their lunch special combo is unreal and I would definitely try them next time. This place is cozy, clean and comfortable. The service is homie and professional. The owner and his wife are lovely people and they are very passionate about their food. I am so happy they find Oshawa to start their business. We need more good Asian food in the area.
