Lena's Roti & Doubles

Just came back from this place and had to write a review as soon as I tried the food. If you're looking for a quick, delicious, and memorable meal, this roti and doubles spot is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and welcoming the space was. The service was incredibly fast — we got our food in less than five minutes! The staff was friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to the experience. The prices were reasonable as well as chicken curry plate with rice and a chicken double and 2 tings were 26$ and fed 2 people. The real star of the show was the food. It was absolutely amazing! The meat was incredibly tender, each bite melting in your mouth. The roti was perfectly cooked, and the chicken doubles were just perfect — flavorful, juicy, and bursting with spices. The balance of flavors was on point, and everything was just the right level of heat. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering Caribbean food served with a smile. Whether you're in a rush or have time to savor your meal, you won't be disappointed. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Dropped in for takeout, first time client. Small boneless goat was moist enough in ample sauce - right amount of curry, not overdone. Got a large amount of rice and peas; a little dry but not bad. Small alloo on the side, really nice. Also a coke. Service was friendly, all for under $19. I will return, the goat was good. And they also have Ducky’s currant rolls, a must for dessert.

Awesome Trinidadian joint… ordered few things and loved all of it. Food: Jerk chicken and rice, Curry Goat and Doubles. Taste was on point, (they can add bit more peas in rice as you seen in Caribbean). Went during lunch hours so everything was fresh. Ambiance, decent environment, slightly tight but thats a typical real estate limitation with most restaurants in Mississauga. Prices are reasonable and serving size is decent enough.

I have had doubles from other restaurants before, but this could be one of the best I have tried! My family would agree as well. Then, we tried the Dark Chicken and peas inside a flatbread called Dhalpuri and goat and peas inside an Indian flatbread called Parata wrap. These were massive and filling! 🍗 Lastly, we could not leave without trying the Jerk Chicken on rice, peas, and coleslaw. Simply a complete Caribbean food experience. They also let us try their newest ice cream flavors: Pina Colada, Soursop, Mango, and Coconut. We couldn't agree which one was our favorite. You have to try them all when you visit! Don't forget their house-made peanut drink which was simply the best 😎 I would commend the staff here for treating us very well!

If you want to see the evolution of doubles go here or any other main trini restaurants in Westend. Some still have a trinni making the doubles and food and those are 5% left. The shell is hard on the ends not fresh and not serve like how a trini would make it. If you ask for spicy the people don't know. If you try to tell them how you want your food they don't know or it comes out opposite or completely something else. PLEASE BRING BACK THE CULTURE PEOPLE.

Second location of Lina's that I tried. Still sooo on point. Plenty of big chunks of meat and plenty of saucy. Hot mess. Love it. Jerk is only ok but hits the spot again. Such a great portion. Especially when it is the daily special. Can't complaint. Will go again and again.

First time here at this location and it was ok for me, the food that I got was good and good size portions and it did have some flavour as well was served hot I did enjoy eating it I won't lie but I feel that the shrimp doubles appetizer should get at least 1 more shrimp instead of 2 for it's price, and also if you are someone that can't take the heat of spicy food I don't recommend getting it spicy because it's spicy chilies 🥵, I would recommend trying it out for yourself it's not a bad place to eat in or take out. The staff are nice and the place is ok to dine in.
