Lena's Roti & Doubles

I ordered a bake and saltfish through a food delivery service. I received a phone call from the restaurant saying they don't have bake and they can replace it with a paratha which I agreed to. The roti had the weirdest texture. It was almost spongy and raw. I ordered about 45 minutes to an hour before closing so I believe they eyeballed a roti dough to make one individual roti for my order because I can't imagine them serving the type of roti I received to customers throughout the day. I recently visited the location on Keele street and ordered the same thing. It was phenomenal. Too bad there are so many inconsistencies with the quality.

I just ordered food from here. I was shocked when I brought it home as I used to always buy from this location. The doubles was awful, definitely some stale barah, and the dhal pouri roti was not good at all. Sad to see how the food quality has come to this. I tried calling them to discuss this but they were closed. I definitely wouldn't buy from this location again as the others are always on point with the food quality.

The only place I come for my West Indian food craving on the road. Nowhere else! Good consistent quality in taste. Portions are great and very kind service.

Top of the line 🇹🇹 Trini food. Food is always fresh and well seasoned. Roti is soft and cooked on the spot. Doubles are filled well and the Bara is spot on. Food is always hot! The lady that runs the shop is very friendly and you can tell she put her heart in her dishes. Visit the shop and you won't be disappointed 👍🏾

Good traditional doubles place with good flavour and good value. We always get the chicken boneless, goat roti. Son loves the fried fish roti. Medium is quite hot for non-spice heads, mild is ok for children who ate spicy food before. The snacks and drinks from Trinidad and Tobago are good priced 1-3 $, the staff is always really kind.

First visit, won’t be my last. Large boneless chicken roti was good portion and the doubles, well as you can see I reheated them in the air fryer and they are quite tasty!

Had a craving for doubles and I was not disappointed coming to Lena’s. First time here but will be a return customer. The best doubles I have ever had. Seriously; every place I have ever had doubles the outside shell is very greasy but not here! They were fluffy and fresh; so good!! They were not greasy at all. They held together perfectly and wow, they were filled to the brim. Very flavourful.. with a pleasant after taste which was awesome! If you haven’t been here; you have to check it out. The staff here is so nice to everyone that came in while here. The place is clean and welcoming. A pleasant experience that I was great full for.. come and check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!!! Would give 10 starts if I could! So good!!

Went in for their doubles. Purchase 5 get 2 free. The young lady at the counter was friendly. Place was clean. Will go again to try their roti.
