Lemongrass Kitchen

Rude. Mediocre food. Don’t waste your money. The owner/ lady taking orders has very nasty behaviour towards customers. I took my husband here for the first time to try a nostalgic place from my childhood. I guess I don’t remember my parents getting such rude behaviour then. My husband and I were patiently lined up and decided on what we were going to order. As soon as it was our turn, she asks “what do you want, order or pickup?” I didn’t hear her as she was talking with her back against us returning to her stall. So she goes “you yeah you, I’m talking to you”. I then say “we’re here to place an order” She bluntly responds with “I don’t take orders, go somewhere else”. Us and everyone else around us were also in shock at her extremely ill-mannered attitude. We ended up taking order from House of Pepper which is just a few stalls beside Lemongrass (which she apparently owns as well). The real kicker is, there was a lady who was lined up with us at House of Pepper that decided to go to Lemongrass and order from there (she said Lemongrass was taking full orders - tray and single orders) 👍. Safe to say, this will be our last time visiting this place and whole complex. I will rather give our money towards better customer service, the food isn’t even worth us brushing off this unpleasant behaviour.

Today is December 31, 2024 and it’s the busiest week again for this take out place. I was lining up today here ( around past 4) and I’m next & told her my order but because she’s on the phone she didn’t hear me & she asked me again what’s my order and telling her I want the combo with 2 items & it’s always the same she’s rude and she kicked me out & telling me to order to the other store !!! This woman is so MEAN!!! I didn’t deserve that to be humiliated by someone who I’m sure is uneducated. I understand a lot of people are ordering from this place & mostly 💯% are Filipinos . She needs to learn how to be nice because even people likes to order here with the attitude like HERS- it’s not fair to be treated this way. If it’s not for us she doesn’t have BUSINESS!!! Please people put a review here of how your experience with her behaviour. This is not acceptable!!! We are decent people who are giving her business and she should know how to treat people with respect !!!! I know one day this place is going down. God is watching 🙏

Been going here for the last 25 years and the food is amazing. Though the lady is always on rush and if you don’t know what to order she can be rude. My suggestion is take the menu and step aside of the line and decide which one you want to order.

This lady assaulted me with the rolling table she hit me with it as she was coming out and told me I walked into it. (I was standing still) I told her didnt. After the fact she told me she sent me to house of pepper & told me she doesn’t want to serve people like me ( I am black ) I was disgusted & confused. I would not recommend anybody to order food lemongrass !! They’re racist

Have been coming here for the past 10 years, always get their stir fried rice noodle with beef. Also love their stir fried rice noodle with pork and eggplant — sweet, sour and savoury! Only note is their slushies has a lot of ice in them and every sip has small chunks of ice.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The person taking our order was extremely rude and unprofessional. While we were waiting in line, she told us to come back after five minutes because they were very busy. When she finally took our order, I was clearly explaining what I wanted, but she rudely interrupted with, "You could have just told me," even though I was doing exactly that. To make it easier for her, I pointed out what I wanted, but she responded with, "Excuse me? Excuse me?" This was my first and last visit. I will never return to this place again! I would rather go and support to a different place who has a better customer service than this!! Ps: that’s the lady who took our order

The lady that owns the restaurant is so pleasant and funny. You get a huge portion of food, and it's not very costly. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and pork fried rice. Awww, I didn't like the battered shrimps at all, the rice was ok. I didn't try the noodles so I can't speak on it.

We ordered via Uber Eats and it was such a wonderfully surprising find! Note: Uber prices are about 20-30% higher than in-store prices ($12 versus $9-$10). The food was very delicious, portions are generous and even though we have no comments about the customer service (so many complaints here about the cashier?), I must say that our order was packed beautifully and with many smilie stickers. The order was also delivered with a pack of condiments and lollipop. The giant shrimp and minced pork was delicious. So was the garlic honey pork ribs. Our favourite though was the fried fish filet with tofu. Looking forward to ordering here again with a good Uber coupon, otherwise it’s far too costly versus the in-person prices. Unless it’s an upcharge in order to avoid the checkout Karen LOL
