Legend Chinese Restaurant 麗晶酒家

A week ago I visited this restaurant.The service is horrible , can’t even call it service. Atmosphere is cheap , very run down. Constant sound of plates being collected as they are collected in one big tray and then taken out to the kitchen. Very very dirty , the seats and the table . A big bottle of sanitizer on each table , does not add to feel of being in a restaurant . And the food is not very good . Legend… it is NOT.

I’ve been frequenting this establishment for 8 years. Never had an issue . In the last month, I’ve been there 3 times. End of Nov, the lady serving was having a bad day. The food was not what is usually was and I thought, give them another chance. 2 weeks ago, the same situation but worse. I thought, one more chance, today the service was wonderful. The gentleman was so kind and nice. The food, not so much. I went to pay the bill, and I mentioned, I was paying cash (10% discount) the manager, says no). I said no what? He says as of today, no discount. I told him to remember my face, cause this behaviour cost him a very regular customer. He said and I quote “ I don’t care”. 3 times your out!

This restaurant has been around for many years. The quality of food has been kept very high. The service we received was also exceptional. The decor is a bit outdated but the restaurant is brightly lit and very clean. Totally recommend.

A nice small Restaurant with decent services provided and a positive atmosphere. Food came pretty fast for my experience but essentials weren’t provided immediately which you’d need to ask for Example: Water & Utensils.

We specifically chose the Legend for our new year eve family dinner because we want to rekindle the fond memories we had at the restaurant long time ago. Turns out that the special set dinner did not disappoint us. Both the steam fish and the mushroom with sirloin beef cubes were stars of the night. And, the soup in the beginning together with the dessert at the end complemented the whole dinning experience. Service is good. Our verdict is: we shall return!

Came here for dinner to meet with family, and had a delicious meal. We arrived on a weekday and was not particularly overly busy. The food started off great with a nice soup. The deep fried shrimp 🍤 was VERY delicious. I'm not a big fan of shrimp, but this was 👌, and perfect with a bowl of white rice. The oysters were also very delicious, and large in size. The beef ribs were delicious, tender, and finger licking good. I personally am not a fan of abalone and duck feet, but my guests loved it. The portions were one of the biggest I've seen. Finished off the night with some delicious tofu pudding, mango jello and cookies. The service received was great and very attentive. The prices were fair, and will always have me coming back. The dim sum will also be worth trying.

Had a good experience here for Chinese New Year dinner. The service was fast and courteous and I really enjoyed the dishes we ordered. I do think some of the portions could have been bigger, especially for the meat dishes. For example, the shrimp dish we ordered basically had one shrimp for each person in our party. My favorites included the crispy chicken, beef and mushroom, and eggplant dish (as pictured). I would definitely come back again, it was quite clean and the food had a great taste. I think in all, we spent $400 for 11 people which is more expensive than expected since we didn't order any of the bigger ticket items like Peking duck or lobster. But it was a good experience so overall it is worth it.

Good price for the quality of food you are getting. This is a 酒楼 type of restaurant, meaning it's better to go in bigger groups of 4+ people. Came here for Chinese new years with family. Staff were super friendly. Sweet and sour pork was great! Not too saucy, crispy, and can tell its freshly made! They offer combo set dinners (good deals) depending on the number of guests per table. Which is always helpful when your family is indecisive about what dishes to pick. Would go back again!
