Le Sélect Bistro

After coming here for the second time I can confidently say that this has become one of my favourite places to eat in the city. Every dish I have tried has been delicious, the portions are great, the cocktails are all 10/10 and the service is impeccable. This is where we’ll bring our families when they come from out of town from now on. Can’t wait to go again soon

The food was solid, and I’m definitely coming back to dive into more of the menu. For appetizers, I had to give the escargot a try (because who doesn’t want to say they’ve eaten snails?), and they were surprisingly buttery and tasty. The steak tartare, however, stole the show—perfectly seasoned and definitely worth ordering again. For mains, the duck confit was rich and flavorful, with a portion large enough to make me feel like I got my money’s worth. The steak frites, though, was a bit of a letdown—not bad, just not the star of the show. To cap it off, the crème brûlée was everything you want in a dessert: crispy on top, creamy inside, and utterly satisfying. Service and ambiance were top-notch, though—this place knows how to make you feel like a VIP.

A French restaurant with great appetizers, especially the escargot, which was delicious. However, the main courses were quite average—the steak lacked flavor, and the roasted duck leg was too salty and not very enjoyable. I suggest replacing the beans served with the duck leg with risotto.

I visited this charming bistro that specializes in classic French cuisine for a weekday lunch with a couple of friends on their mat leave. The interior was cozy and welcoming, with enough space to comfortably fit two strollers at our table, especially since the restaurant wasn’t full during our visit. I ordered the croque monsieur along with some freshly squeezed orange juice, both of which were delightful. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, making for an enjoyable meal, even if we had to eat quickly due to the babies who started to get cranky after a while. I’m definitely planning to return to explore more items on the menu. The service here was excellent. Our server was friendly, efficient, and knew the menu well. He checked up on the table just the right amount of times, and was able to accommodate any requests we made.

A lovely spot for brunch or dinner, if you're looking for a cute french canadian place with an incredible selection of wine. The service was absolutely amazing, and they even have a little garden in the front and back if you're looking to dine al fresco. Prices are slightly on the more expensive side, but reasonable considering portion sizes and location.

Duck confit is a must-try! The portion is huge that one main is enough for two people. The chicken is actual half chicken and the sauce is inspiring. Something disappointed was the service. The waitress did not ask for allergies so that we ended up ordering something allergic. We figured it out when it's on the table. Her attitude was a little rude comparing that with other tables and other servers. Food wise, I'll definitely visit again to try something else.

Food was pretty good. Escargot needed a pinch of salt, their fries tasted just like a better version of McDonald’s. Service was very slow and not organized during our visit for lunch. Our waitress asked if we wanted to have meals coursed or altogether, and we said together, yet everything came in course with extra long wait in between. Our cutlery was taken after the first appetizer, but was not given back before the second appetizer. We had to ask for cutlery. Not satisfied. Their atmosphere is definitely amazing! Please, even if you don’t need to, go to their washroom. It’s an experience for sure.
