Got the steak frites sandwich! It's actually pretty decent on different levels. Steak has always been on the expensive side and you get a generous amount of actual steak (some places have dared only given gristle) in this sandwich. And at 18 dollars for a sandwich that big and hearty, that's not bad. You also get a good portion of the frites and gravy!! Very filling!!

Overpriced nonsense. 20 bucks for a sandwich meal that didn't even taste good. For a sandwich this small and at this price, it better reshape my views on the meaning of life.

Got a poutine. Smaller than expected and fries were skinnier than I imagined it would be. Tastes good, nothing amazing.

Queen's Cross Food Hall took over the old alternative food court on the south side of Eaton Center. So many options but I tried Le Petit Cornichon and had the steak friets sandwich. It was a tasty mess with a great pickle relish, that lives up to the name of the take out establishment. Service was very nice and efficient and the dark - cozy seating area was nice. I know the North food court has all the regular take out places and is super busy so the south side Food Hall is a great option with unique cuisine and worth the slight premium.

One of the better places at Queen’s Cross and service is excellent. Steak Frites Sandwich was decent. I found that the relish and mustard added a sour taste and the steak was a bit chewy, but other than that it was flavourful. It’s quite expensive though.

I’ve got to hand it to these guys, the food is absolutely to die for. Visited with my girlfriend, and we shared the steak sandwich, a poutine, and a side of fries. First and foremost - the shoestring fries are absolutely insane. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, flavourful. I would come here just for the fries, no question. By extension, the poutine is also excellent - great ratio of curds to gravy to fries. The steak sandwich, while not the prettiest thing to look at, was delicious. TONS of steak, cooked very well, the toppings including fries, cheese, relish, mustard, etc, were all very well balanced. I would say this is one sandwich that doesn’t hold together perfectly well but it is by no means a messy disaster - you just need to make sure to hold it at both ends. Cutting it in half would probably solve it. All in all, fantastic meal, I will be back. Worth the price.

Awesome service and really great sandwich from here! Loved the chicken, mushroom, bacon melt. The chicken was really tender and juicy! To add to that the staff were super kind!

Visited as part of the new Queen’s Cross Food Hall at Eaton Centre. Le Petit Cornichon is a French-style fast casual offering at the food hall, serving mainly sandwiches and salads. Their menu is fairly simple with three kinds of sandwiches - steak, chicken and a croissant sandwich. Their steak frites sandwich was freshly grilled flank steak with fries together within a French roll. The sandwich had a good mix of flavour with the melted Swiss cheese and mustard. Portion size of the sandwich was good on its own as well. Only downside was that the sandwich was a bit pricey compared to other steak sandwiches in the city. Overall, was a decent sandwich and was prepared fresh once ordered.
