The dessert and pastries were good. We tried the White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie and it was awesome. Cookie was soft and crunchy and goes well with the white chocolate and macadamia. Would definitely recommend if you in the mood for a good cookie. The plum tart was delicious. It was not too sweet or sour.

Wonderful bakery/café at Richmond and Spadina serving great sandwiches, coffee, and baked goods. I come in specifically for (or order on Ubereats) the Lemon Bichon. A crisp buttery flakey pastry with a crunchy caramelized sugar exterior and creamy lemon custard inside. Each bite makes me giddy, fragrant lemon, not too sweet, just wonderful. Come early as they run out fast! Second runner up is their chocolate chip cookie (or basically ANY of their cookies). A big hefty cookie where you can taste the best use of ingredients. Both 10/10!

Cookie and brownie both looked and smelt better than they tasted. Chocolate chip cookie had a soft centre texture. I dislike how the cookie had no chew, even at the edges, which were instead firm and a bit greasy. The cookie lacks salt and is not notably sweet either, and the chocolate inside is soft and doesn’t have much taste, so it blends into the cookie. Generally bland and not worth 4.5$. Brownie centre had a soft, moist and damp texture, which was interesting but actually pleasant and reminded me of the Nama chocolate truffles. However, it lacks rich chocolate flavour. The edges were also cakey and did not have the dense delicious chew I look for in a brownie. I heard this is the best cookie in Toronto, but at 11.50$ for two items, the taste and value of Subway cookies and boxed brownies surpasses this spot.

I hate giving low reviews but this place is so awful. We also visited twice (not by my choice), so unfortunately, I know it is not a fluke. First, you have to traverse through a bunch of construction to find it (not their fault but does not help with the overall experience). All the tables were dirty from previous patrons, and we didn’t see anyone wiping them down the two times we were there. You bus your own tables and the bussing station is in a similarly sorry state. They’re also not that busy so not sure why the service is so awful. The blonde cashier that we encountered twice was just chatting with the other staff rather than taking our order. When she finally paid attention to us, she was unnecessarily cold like we were bothering her. Again, this happened twice. The first time we went, we only ordered a cookie and a cappuccino. The coffee was mid and the cookie took so long the another staff member noticed and apologized, which was nice of her. The second time we went, the sandwiches behind the glass looked sad, so I got the kathu roti, which was drowning in sauce and became very unpleasant to eat midway through. My partner got the egg bacon croissant - the eggs were rubber, croissant was also mid, and the whole thing was too salty. They also called the wrong order number (we were the only ones waiting for food). The only good thing about this place is the cookies (which bumped this up to two stars) but not worth the troubles.

I come here occasionally for coffee or for their famous walnut chocolate chip cookies. The cookies definitely are delicious and high quality, but I wouldn't say they're the best in the city. They actually taste better the next day in my opinion. Service here is always friendly and fast even on the weekends when it can get busy. There's a good amount of seating for small groups inside as well as a few tables outside. The building is undergoing renovation, but it's still open

I attended Le Gourmand at 152 Spadina Ave, Toronto based on the words "the worlds best cookies". Personally I love cookies and have been searching for a place that has it! When I walked in the café the atmosphere felt a bit dark but I saw the sign that read order here. The girl at the counter seemed ok I was brand new to the place so I felt kind of overwhelmed looking at the menu to order but, I spotted the Turkey Club Sandwich, So, decided on the sandwich, chocolate chip cookie and an almond slice of cake. On first impression this café is quite pricy. I still thought it should be great. While I processed my payment the girl at the counter dodged off and returned with a box. I didn't want to appear pushy so I didn't ask but I thought they would offer the receipt but it didn't happen. So, I was left holding this box unsure if that was my full order or not. I started hearing other customers getting an order number so, I returned to ask her if what I had was my order and she said no it was the pastry items that I had to wait on the other side for the sandwich. So, I stood regretting I tipped, not having a order number and felt out of place. So, with the pictures you'll see the sandwich is thick and half size for $13.99. It tasted good but portion wise for the price you decide. The cookies to me isn't the world's best but it did taste good. I split the cookies to get a clear look at the size. My opinion reflects service as it's hard to find good service in Toronto. I don't mind paying lots if the Service I receive is great I would not be rushing to return here as the service is not quite worth the price for me. Perhaps, you can decide if you enjoyed the service should you decide to check the place out.

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in Toronto. Brunch is available on weekends and holidays (the cafe opens at 8 am and brunch starts at 9 am). There's seating, but it's counter service only. I usually get the lemon ricotta pancakes (with berry compote, whipped cream, and lemon curd) -- SO GOOD. This time I got the kothu roti which was delicious. The portions are large. I also got the turmeric latte which I didn't like, but I do like their other drinks like the chai latte. The huevos chilaquiles is great. Le Gourmand is well known for their chocolate chip cookies -- they're AMAZING!! I love the chocolate walnut cookies and the white chocolate macadamia cookies too.
