Had a networking dinner here and we couldn’t stop raving about the food! It was truly splendid, so tasty and the server provided us with great recommendations! Make sure to make a reservation as even on a weekday, it was almost packed!

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Le Baratin. The food was really delicious, and the environment is very cozy and romantic. Steak frites, Gravlax and Chocolate Mousse were highlights. The mussel special was also delicious.

We recently dined at this charming French restaurant and were instantly taken by the warm, cozy ambiance inside. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed evening, with dim lighting and elegant touches that made it feel both intimate and welcoming. We opted for the two-part menu, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The calamari appetizer was the highlight of the first course—perfectly tender, and paired with a truly delicious sauce. It was a great start to what became a truly memorable meal. For the main course, we went with the duck confit and steak frites, and it was simply unforgettable. The confit was the favourite - skin was golden and crispy, while the meat was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite was decadent, balanced with the right amount of seasoning, and made even better with its sides, which perfectly complemented the dish. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after you’ve left the table. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the care that went into every dish. We were more than satisfied with both the experience and the value. We’ll definitely be coming back for another round of that duck confit!

Very good French food and not over priced at all. We had swordfish special and duck leg, both flavored really well. Duck leg was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and red wine sauce was super tasty. Swordfish was tiny bit salty to my liking. Dessert chocolate mousse was very light and delicious! Only that AC was not strong enough on a hot day. But overall highly recommend!

Solid experience with a nice French authenticity to it. Highly recommend the magret de canard (duck breast). Service could have been better. Came here for my girlfriend's birthday and ordered the three course meal for the two of us (~$60 per person). We got a bunch of pates and sausages as appetizers that were very gamey and delicious in flavor. Next were the entrees, which were the poisson du jour (fish of the day), a fish risotto and the magret de canard. The risotto was a bit underwhelming, but the duck breast was truly out of this world -- extremely savory and rich! The dessert was mille-feuille, but it took almost an hour to come out for some reason even despite checking on the order. It also wasn't the normal mille-feuille, as it seemed like their own spin on it. Overall, the service could have been a lot better considering the limited amount of seating. Food was great and good value.

I loved the vibe of this place, the food was phenomenal, and the service was really great as well. Easily one of my favourite spots in Toronto from now on, and I'll definitely be coming back. The pricing was very fair as well, a three course meal for I think around $59 which could definitely cost $90-100 at a different restaurant for the same quality. What more could you ask for? Just go.

Visited this place during a lovely street festival, and I have to say, this little restaurant is a gem! The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, which added to the charm. The service was wonderful – everyone was so friendly and attentive. A+ to the ratatouille. It was delicious and bursting with flavor. One small suggestion would be to balance the taste of the steak with a bit more sauce, but overall, it was still very tasty. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food and excellent service, try this place.
