disappointed with the kamayan budol meal. On their menu the kamayan lookd enticing. So we ordered for it. On the menu says grilled bangus and grilled pork belly. But what we got was fried bangus and kawali instead. If those on the menu are not available they could have informed us. Other thing was the shrimp, the shrimp looks like its been reheated few times. And what was very disappointed there is no turon and pancit guisado but still paid for thesame price.

We ordered the Boodle Fight Kamayan, and it was absolutely delicious—everything was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. They even serve complimentary calamansi juice and soup, which was a nice touch. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they let us do some karaoke (sorry to the other diners, haha 😬). The whole experience was so fun and relaxed, it’s the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. Definitely a 5/5 spot—amazing food, great vibes, and wonderful hospitality!

Went for the boodle fight to celebrate a birthday and the food was incredible. Everything tasted so well together, and it was only $25 per person! Amazing service and very friendly staff.

Rated by Yelp Elites as the "The extraordinary eatery as the top places to eat". Finally had the opportunity to try Lakay Kusina's food. It's been going viral on the social platforms. Thought I'd go check it out for myself with a group of Filipinos! Lakay = formally translated as "my old man" to now commonly known as "my companion/buddy". Kusina = Cuisine/kitchen/eatery Atmosphere When you first walk into the restaurant, you will instantly feel like you're in two parts of the Philippines 🇵🇭. On the left, you'll get the beach vibe, on the right, it'll give you the village vibe. Decor originating all from the PH taken back to Scarborough for the locals here for exposure to the beautiful culture and food. The place looks like it can accommodate a fair amount of people (estimating about 20-30 people). It is fairly small, but definitely not disappointing in the decor, feel, culture, food and vibe of the venue. Service I was just expecting delicious food, but the service and atmosphere was outstanding! The owner was very accommodating, hospitable and friendly. Food We've put in our bellies: Spam fries silog (my favourite) regular spam silog, fish sisig, Sisig (pork) Silog, burger steak silog, ube waffles, turon, ube icecream and ube drizzle, lumpia 2.0 pork and shrimp with lobster (also another favourite). They also offer a lot of great traditional Filipinos dishes and desserts ready to take out or freshly ordered. Definitely will be back to try their Kamayan aka Boodle Fight (best for groups). Majority of the items are under $20 with a good amount of portion. Plating of every dish was beautifully laid out with eye-popping colours that will make you salivate even more on an empty stomach! I'd highly recommend to come hungry here. You won't be disappointed with the flavors and portion. Highlights The highlight for me was the unlimited sinigang soup and beef broth as well as the calimanci juice included in any order. Another highlight is the karaoke. This random, yet fun cultural activity was a chill and fun way to end our lunch at Lakay!

Boodle fight!!! This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home (Philippines). The warm lighting, rustic decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed meal. The food is really outstanding! Every bite was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Hands down, some of the most delicious authentic filipino food I've eaten lately! The service at LAKAY Kusina is excellent!" Ariel & staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Thank you Ariel Abrazaldo

I had an amazing experience here. The food was amazing and soo good. I really enjoyed the complimentary beef soup and lemonade. The owner is also soo nice and welcoming. He came to explain every item and sauce to us. He also shares stories about the Philippines and is overall just so patient with us. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Lakay Kusina a hidden gem and a cozy little place at Ellesmere and Victoria Park. My party of 10 came here for a Filipino feast tonight. I booked through the Instagram page with Ariel. The process was easy and communication was great. Ariel, as well as the entire staff, were very hospitable and friendly. The dinner cost $25 per head. Very generous portion with lots of leftovers. Food were tasty of course and the presentation was fantastic. It is quite an experience for those who have never had Kamayan. Highly recommended. The pictures speak for themselves. Do not forget to order the halo halo at the end and thank me later.
