Tight place with a good variety of food from Hyderabad. The taste is quite good and you will get a spicy portion as well, they serve snacks, main course, sweets etc blend of everything. The prices are reasonable for popular items and wait time is quite high

While getting my car tires changed at Torrono Tyres, I struck up a conversation with the owner, Shahbaz. I casually asked him where I could find the best biryani in Scarborough, and without hesitation, he recommended Lajawaab. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked food. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff set the perfect stage for a great dining experience. I ordered their chicken biryani, and it was simply incredible. The rice was perfectly cooked, fragrant, and loaded with spices that danced on my palate. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and perfectly infused with the essence of the biryani. What surprised me even more were the prices—shockingly affordable for the quality and quantity served. It’s rare to find food this good at such a reasonable cost. Lajawaab definitely lived up to its name, which means “unmatched” in Urdu. Now that I’ve had a taste, I’m eager to explore more of their menu. If you’re in Scarborough and craving authentic, delicious biryani, don’t miss Lajawaab—it’s a true hidden gem.

Lajawaab at Markham and Eglinton is an absolute gem! I stopped by today for some chai tea, and it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The owner said their biryanis are also amazing—packed with flavor. I will definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite restaurants, located close to my home. I go there twice a week and absolutely love their Chicken Biryani, Kadai Chicken, Chai Pakora, Samosa, and sweets—everything is incredibly delicious! I also want to mention Aman, who works at the front desk. He’s very friendly and cooperative, making the experience even better.

If you running in budget it’s very good place for biryani takeaways. The guy, Majeed khan hails from Hyderabad .The prices are comparatively low and the quality of food is at par with other places. The downside of the restaurant is, it’s sort of a ghost kitchen hence it’s hard to sit and eat inside.
