Laissez Faire

Most of their dining room as far as I saw consists of high top tables or you might be seated at the bar. The food is pretty filling and decent for the price. That was the biggest selling point for me for this restaurant was the value. I had the Traditional Breakfast. I asked for the eggs over easy and they were more like medium. The sausage had a good amount of spice to it because of the jalapeño. The avocado wasn't the ripest, but was fine anyway. The menu also says that the dish comes with fresh tomatoes but that did not come with my plate. Service was spotty and it was a bit hard to get the attention of our server at times. I was wondering if they were leaning into the laissez-faire theme of the restaurant. All in all, was good for the price.

BEST. BRUNCH. EVER. The pancakes and the chicken and waffles are TO DIE FOR. Amazing coffee, amazing brunch cocktails, super cute vibe, friendly service, and seriously some of the best brunch food I've ever had. Can't recommend highly enough.

For full clarity I don't drink alcohol, not a moral imperative or anything just not my thing. What I do fully appreciate however is I got seating quickly, a big glass bottle of water & a server who when asked on portions directed me to the full breakfast for efficient spending. As the name implies Laissez Faire isn't too flashy but frankly it follows less is more in an effective fashion. I was offered condiments & given small bowls of what I asked for rather than clunky things taking up half the table. Plating uses space effectively. Service was clean, casual & efficient. Honestly I'm impressed & my only gripe was it being a lil loud but that's more my hearing being good + the restaurant having good traffic. Keep up the great work.

The food and ambiance here is amazing. The flavors of the pesto cream sauce paired with the roasted chicken and gnocchi is artful. The risotto in the arancini was cooked perfectly.

The food was good but it’s the vibe of the restaurant that was amazing. Good music and cocktails. The cocktails were wonderful and our server she was super sweet and friendly. Would recommend this place for dates and girls night outs. The interior is beautiful and well decorated. It is on king street, so it’s definitely a busy place. All over it was a good vibe.

I recently visited Laissez Faire with some friends and had a fantastic experience. This place is quite popular, so I’d recommend making a reservation in advance if you prefer table seating. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with a mix of intimate tables and bar seating overlooking the open kitchen. The service was prompt and efficient. We tried a variety of dishes, including Eggs Benedict, Chicken & Waffles, and the Traditional Big Breakfast. The Traditional Big Breakfast was a standout for its generous portion size and value for money. The Eggs Benedict with avocado hollandaise was a delightful twist on a classic dish, and the Chicken & Waffles were satisfyingly delicious. Overall, Laissez Faire is a great spot to hang out, relax, and enjoy some good food. I would definitely recommend it to others!

Food, service and atmosphere is a 10/10. My first time coming here for brunch, the warm ambiance, attentive staff (Marcello), and a diverse menu, left my family and me thoroughly impressed! His attentive and friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. With impeccable timing, he effortlessly guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. Marcello's attention to detail and genuine passion for providing exceptional service created a memorable atmosphere. His professionalism and warm hospitality were the perfect complement to the delicious meal. A dining experience with Marcello is undoubtedly a highlight, and I will be back for him! Thank you Pedro & Marcello. We were looking for a specific espresso martini and not only did they make them delicious but offered their own as well. The bartenders were both knowledgeable with their cocktails & easy going which made it easy to have small talk. They also serve food! Variety of options- felt like fine dining in a cozy bar! It was awesome !! Highly recommend their espresso martinis ☺️
