We came here for a Friday dinner. The server was friendly. Drinks take a while to arrive so keep that in mind. The steak, chicken and beet & ricotta salad was great. Ambiance is good. We come here a few times a year and the experience is always good.

Avoid this server at all cost, blonde hair braided with blue eyes. She gave us terrible restaurant experience, it was also my first time eating here. I understand we have all challenges in life, but i work in the food industry as well. Its tough i know, but do your job better. She keeps rolling her eyes too and too lazy to take our orders.

We decided to try this place since they were offering a summer special for lunch $24 per person. The choices offered at $24 per person was very limited, but we were excited to try something new. One of the antipasti was a grilled eggplant which had no flavor and the other choice tasted like grilled mac and cheese which was not good at all. We added $10 for the seafood risotto which we found out included 5 small mussels, 3 clams, and 2 shrimp tails atop a squid infused risotto which looked terrible. The taste was bland and the presentation a total turn-off. The wine was expensive at $16 for a 4 oz glass. No dessert options on the summer menu. Total cost was $105. Don't be fooled by their special, it is not worth it. Great location and atmosphere, but poor slow service with small portions at a high price. Never going back.

They are far from the best Italian in Toronto, but their $24 Taste of Eataly two-course lunch was a pretty good deal. Enjoyed the three starters we ordered - frittatine di cacio e pepe (fried bucatini), barbabietole (marinated beets, ricotta) and melanzane (grilled eggplant, mint, ricotta salata). Flavors were all tasty and the portion of the beets in particular was a pleasant surprise. For the mains, I tried both the potato gnocchi (with tomato, ricotta) and casarecce (tomato-almond pesto, basil). The gnocchi was pillowy soft and the sauce was delicious especially with the ricotta. The casarecce was great as well. Portions looked small, but we were stuffed and had a hard time finishing everything! Service is friendly, not the most attentive (you'll have to flag them down for water) but food came out relatively quickly.

Made a reservation since I wanted to try the brunch here. Got there a little early, but got seated right away. Our server was quick to introduce herself and brought us water fairly quickly as well. We ordered one Eggs Benedict and one Pancetta Panini. We also wanted the tiramisu pancakes and initially were only going to order one dish plus the pancakes, until our server recommended we get the pancakes as dessert owing to portion sizes. I think that was the right call. The eggs Benny was a little different than normal since it was served over a croissant as opposed to an English Muffin. But apart from that, there wasn’t really anything special about it. It was also a bit disappointing that there was no accompaniment to the dish (whether salad or some kind of potato dish, as is common for brunch places). The panini was more like a breakfast burger. At least this dish had a side salad. The bread seemed a little too much for the amount of stuff on the inside. I had high hopes for the pancakes - looks wise, they were great, but taste wise it felt something was lacking. The dish was essentially a tiramisu where the ladyfingers had been swapped for pancakes. Unlike a traditional tiramisu where the biscuits are soaked, the pancakes were way too dry. The dish needed a thicker layer of cream between the 2 pancakes and ideally a dollop on the side as well to dip each bite into. The layer of cream on top was good, but it almost needed to be rationed so that we could enjoy the dish until the end. The ambiance was decent. We were fairly close to the window overlooking Bloor street, but the sound proofing is good. The place gets busy, so a reservation is definitely recommended. Overall, I wouldn’t say the food is anything special and prices are definitely on the expensive side (especially considering the portions). Even a cappuccino costs $6! Having tried brunch here, I don’t think I’d return unless someone invited me there.

Upon reflection, it appears that the pricing structure of this establishment tends to skew towards the higher end, especially when juxtaposed with the portion sizes offered. The service, while not reaching the pinnacle of excellence, can be described as middling, falling within the spectrum of average. However, it is worth noting that the ambiance of the venue is a shining beacon amid these considerations. The atmosphere is so impeccably curated that it elevates the dining experience to a level beyond mere sustenance. The thoughtful design, lighting, and overall aesthetic create a truly enjoyable setting, contributing significantly to the overall appeal of the place. In terms of the culinary aspect, the redeeming quality surfaces in the form of the food itself. The flavors on the plate are a delightful symphony, offering a palate-pleasing experience that manages to compensate for any shortcomings in other aspects. The delectable taste profiles indeed add a noteworthy positive dimension to the overall impression one might have. In summation, while the pricing and service may have their respective drawbacks, the enchanting ambiance and scrumptious food ultimately carve out a distinctive niche for this establishment in the realm of dining experiences.

I'm surprised at the low ratings since I had a lovely experience here! We got the prix fixe lunch and it didn't disappoint. The portions were pretty good and I enjoyed every bit of it! The seafood tasted fresh, the risotto was well cooked. And the service was very good. I'd definitely come back.

Had lunch here with a friend last year. While the atmosphere and waiter was nice, the food on the other hand was a bit of a let-down. Portion was way too small for the price they charged. The Ravioli al Funghi was okay. Pizza was a tad bit hard to chew. Toronto has better Italian restaurants. If you're looking for one, this is definitely not the place! Value for price: ❌
