La Luce Ristorante ‍

While I can’t speak to the experience in the restaurant, I had a terrible experience ordering via Uber Eats. It was my husband’s birthday and he loves pasta, so I looked up top restaurants for pasta. This restaurant is the top rated in my area and I was really looking forward to it, especially for the price I paid. $25 for seared shrimp and scallop salad seemed like I’d be getting a really nice salad! Attached is the photo of 3 average sized shrimps and 1.5 scallops that are clearly overcooked. This is definitely not what the photo advertised on Uber and is DEFINITELY not worth $25. On top of it all, when I argued that this couldn’t possibly be what they sell for $25, Uber refused my concern. I’m sure dining in might be worthwhile, but sad to see that the quality is not given to customers ordering takeout.

Visited La Luce recently with my husband for a very delicious meal. We live downtown Toronto and ventured out to La Luce and was it ever worth the drive! All the staff were super friendly and accommodating, even saw the owner and chef checking in on guests. We both loved the atmosphere, super delicious food, and amazing service. We enjoyed dining here far more than some of the mainstream restaurants in downtown Toronto, and the prices are super affordable, especially considering the quality and portions of the food itself. We will definitely be going back in the near future!

La Luce Ristorante was the perfect choice for hosting our wedding, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautiful ambiance. The elegant decor, soft lighting, and charming atmosphere set the perfect tone for our special day. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was, from the appetizers to the main courses. It truly elevated our celebration. One of the highlights of the evening was the incredible service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of. I want to give a special shout-out to Carmelina. She was helped me with the decor and made my vision come to life in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Her creativity and attention to detail transformed the venue into something absolutely stunning. Every aspect of the decor was perfect, and it truly reflected our style and personality. Overall, La Luce Ristorante exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of exquisite food, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional service made for an unforgettable wedding experience. I came here to La Luce reviews to write a review on my Grandmothers 80th birthday. I must say I was very taken back by the previous review. I have been attending this restaurant for years and let me add my family members are not Italian. Never have we felt discriminated against nor have we ever felt any racism. As a matter of fact we are always treated with the utmost respect. The service in this place is impeccable and servers go out of their way no matter what. I’m really sorry you feel this way, but I have to be honest—my experience at this restaurant has been completely different. I’ve been coming here for six years, and the staff has always been incredibly professional, kind, and welcoming. The team is very diverse, and it’s one of the reasons I love coming back. They treat everyone with respect, no matter who you are. I’ve always seen them go above and beyond for their guests, and I’ve never noticed any of this behavior you are speaking of. In fact, I’ve seen them accommodate all kinds of customers with different needs. I really hope this was just an unfortunate misunderstanding because this place has always made me and my family feel very welcome. Reading this review, it almost feels like you're just upset they didn’t offer you a free meal. Mistakes happen in any restaurant, but I’ve always seen the staff do their best to make things right without anyone having to resort to extreme accusations, but accusing the restaurant of racism and discrimination because of that feels like a stretch. From what I’ve seen, they’ve always treated their guests fairly and with care, and they certainly don’t deserve this kind of criticism. By the way, My grandmothers party was fantastic, flawless, and their food has been top-notch every time, and their steaks are the best in the city.... .It’s a must try.......Just saying.

If anyone is looking for an amazing dining experience, La Luce Ristorante is where it's at... We celebrated our Parents 60th Anniversary at La Luce and we absolutely loved everything from the food and service right down to the table decor!!... La Luce has a fantastic food selection offering set menus with great choices and gluten-free and vegan options.. We had a gluten-free person in our group and it was very refreshing that La Luce takes dietary restrictions seriously... All the food was excellent and it was beautifully presented as well... The service was very efficient from start to finish and the Staff was very pleasant, attentive and courteous... A special shout out to La Luce's Event Planner Carmelina Vinciguerra for all her help with the menu and table decor!!... She was an absolute GEM with her friendly demeanor and great sense of humour... I was very comfortable with Carmelina where I felt like I've known her for years... Carmelina knew the menu well and offered great recommendations and her beautiful table decor, which included personalized menus, exceeded our expectations adding a special touch to our dinner... Kudos to the entire Team at La Luce for making our Parents very happy as you made their 60th Anniversary Dinner very special and truly memorable!!... We'll definately be back!!... Our family really enjoyed our meal and experience here. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and helpful. Our food and wine was delicious. Highly recommend and hope to return. I especially enjoyed the chicken pizzaiola. The atmosphere was classy casual. Ladies in dresses and men in shorts w/dress shirts. Very nice, family friendly, and inviting. 5 stars.

We had our daughters baptism there, from the second we walked into the door Carmelina treated us like family and so did all of her staff. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great time and good food. The decor was flawless and most of all my wife was happy!!! What more can a man ask for ? Trust me, try this place for any party or gathering you want to have

We had our son’s baptism at La Luce and I am extremely happy we did. From the moment I met Carmelina I knew it was going to be great. She made me feel comfortable and as if we had known each other for years! She was very caring and motivated to make the space look amazing. She explained what she was going to do and it all sounded great. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. It was better than I imagined. She even made personalized menus! Aside from Carmelina’s amazing work - the food was phenomenal. Everyone was talking about how delicious it was and we’re actually inquiring about having an event there. The owner is such a kind man who took the time to ensure everything was going well. I can’t express how great this restaurant is and that they exceeded my expectation for my son’s baptism. Thank you, thank you!
