La Grotta Pizzeria

The most delicious pizza I’ve ever had in Toronto so far! Not to mention the excellent customer service and friendly staff! I highly recommend getting their tiramisu for dessert 10/10 *chefs kiss*

Unfortunately, we really didn’t enjoy our visit. The pizzas were okay, but pretty bland, we also ordered mushroom gnocchi and rigatoni alla vodka, it was all bland. The gnocchi was so squishy and soft it was kind of gross, and it had way too much cream sauce. There was pancetta in the rigatoni that tasted like cardboard and it wasn’t even in a vodka rose sauce like the menu said. They didn’t bring any cheese to the table for our pasta, they dropped the food off and never came back, didn’t refill water or check on us again. After reading so many great reviews I was really disappointed in our experience, we won’t be going back.

Ordered the cream and mushroom pasta with chicken for pick up. Everything was cooked properly and plenty of chicken. My only issue was that they don't give you a bag....or maybe too much cream sauce. The meal was in a foil pan, with a lid and in a little pizza box. Despite trying to keep it flat while walking home, sauce leaked through the box and on to my jacket, pants and shoes. Consider asking for one for take out pasta dishes.

Good food and service. Tried the spaghetti with meat balls and it was decent. Meat balls were a little dry but tried my parents spaghetti with meat sauce and it was excellent. Will have that next time. Atmosphere is very homey. The type of place you'd bring your older parents for a relaxing non rushed meal.

I’m so glad I came across this place tonight. It was my first time there, but definitely won’t be the last. Food was great, and the owners were such lovely and pleasant people. Juan has passionately decorated their cozy restaurant herself, and she’s done a great job indeed.

What a great neighbourhood spot! The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and so was the food! We were actually super pleasantly surprised at how large the portions were. I'd highly recommend the housemade tiramisu, that was hands down our favourite part of the meal.

Great place! The eggplant appetizer is a huge portion! Delicious “homemade style” pizza. Very cozy ambiance and welcoming staff! Would like to come back and dine in; I have a feeling it will be like visiting Italian friends. :)

Let’s start by saying yes 1000 times. This is an amazing restaurant. All the food is fresh and very delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service is excellent. It doesn’t matter if you dine in, take out or get it delivered, it will always taste good. The owners are so nice to everyone and always greet you with a smile. This is an excellent little gem in the city. You won’t be disappointed.
