La Cubana

For whatever reason (likely because of reviewer’s fatigue😌) I held off writing something for La Cubana. For a couple years now I’ve been wanting to try cuban food and this place was the perfect opportunity to do so. The thing that is most important for me to point out was the fantastic service, waiters were extremely attentive and nice. Other than that, the restaurant is designed well, and is at a great location. The food was tasty, simple and would resonate with anyone. I recommend coming!

Absolutely loved this place! This small Cuban diner has such a cozy vibe with its inviting design, warm lighting, and charming labels that give it a unique personality. The food is packed with authentic flavors — from their delicious beef plates to the sandwiches with flavorful sides. The beers here are top-notch too, with a great variety that pairs perfectly with the Cuban dishes. It’s clear the owners put a lot of heart into everything, from the menu to the décor. Perfect for a casual meal with friends or a relaxed solo bite. Highly recommend!

Once we walked in this place, the decors reminds me of Havana. I was expecting the traditional Cuban food, however, the food was over my expectations!!! By talking to the server, their chef infused Canadian cuisine with Cuban cuisine, which makes it even more delicious. We ordered the rice plates with pork belly and roasted short ribs, both are delicious! And the portion is big enough to feed a hungry soul! Would recommend to all my friends:)

I ordered the Pork Belly Medianoche. It was amazing!! It was crunch outside and soft inside the fat. It’s my favourite spot in the street now 🤤

The restaurant is cozy, with a pleasant interior that creates a comfortable atmosphere. The food is also good. The only disappointment was the service, which left a negative impression.

Came here for the Cubanos but dish was super tasty. Got pulled pork, beef short ribs and a salad and we couldn’t finish between 3 people. The cubano was on point, the red slaw, tostone and bean and rice were superb complementary side dishes to the mains. This place is a must try if you’re in the area.

My favourite sandwich in the city. It's an amazing mix of great bread with delicious toppings, the meat is to die for. I often get take out here, their bar service for ordering is often slow but that's my only real gripe. The food doesn't travel amazingly well, so if you can stay in and eat it fresh!
