Overrated tacos. The chorizo was quite spicy without any of the paprika heavy flavors you'd expect from chorizo. Short ribs were good but was drenched in a sickeningly sweet sauce. It had the feel of something more Korean/Japanese short ribs than Mexican. But regardless, a good item. I wouldn't come back here; there are way too many better places for a taco, but this was good for a date night.

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was great, and I loved the atmosphere inside. Very cozy and comfortable with their street vibes. I ordered two tostadas: cod and baja fish. They were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also had the corn which was super yummy! The only reason I put food at 4 stars is because I was hoping for tacos but instead ordered tostadas. That was my mistake. The experience is definitely different as a taco would have held the ingredients together better than the tostada which ended up being a bit messy to eat. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're craving tacos!

The food was good but by no means memorable. We did really enjoy the street corn though! The atmosphere was typical gentrification-core: trendy mural, loud music, water served in a tequila bottle, a little overpriced. Fun but trying too hard. Nice ferns on the patio. Server was friendly and down to earth. I'm sure the sauce they serve with the churros comes directly from a tub but it's delicious.

This place is a fantastic go-to spot! The cozy, inviting ambiance makes it perfect for a relaxed outing. Their drinks are top-notch, and the nachos are hands down some of the best you’ll find anywhere. Whether for drinks or a casual bite, it’s a must-visit!

Super loud music and the tacos were really weird tasting. Got the fish taco for happy hour and it was way too tangy (too much pickled radish and the sauce was also sour) that made my stomach feel weird after. The tortilla was also not good and had a weird texture. My friends said the other ones were slightly better. It was quite disappointing, although service was pretty good. The music was also way too loud and we couldn't hear anyone.

Very overrated place. The quality of food is average, but it’s expensive compared to better places around. The staff were super slow, forgot us couple of times and were a bit rude. The only good thing was nachos. Overall not recommended at all.

Took my friends here from Norway when they visit this year in June . La carnita is definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurant always serving fresh foods and drinks . My absolute favorite taco is mushroom tostadas but I get it with soft corn tortillas it’s an absolutely tastiest taco . There appetizers r also amazing always fresh and tasty . Drinks r awesome got awesome cocktails and happy hour during day time . Fun like hot sauce please order their house made hot sauce it will blow ur mind It’s definitely one of my favorites sauces . Also their fish taco is amazing and so is shrimp . Everyone I take to la Carnita has loves their food and service . It’s my go to restaurant I live down the street and been going here since more then 5 years .

Best restaurant for taco tuesdays!!! $39.99 for hard shell tacos for 2 people, and it’s the BEST! So many fresh ingredients to add to your taco and it’s a pretty good portion. It comes with 10 hard shell tacos and lots of toppings to build your own taco, and it’s only $20 per person, which is a pretty good deal, especially at a nice restaurant. The hard shell was crunchy and held up well, the beef was good, but my favourite part were the toppings. Super fresh tomato salsa and japalenos with a generous portion of guacamole! Highly recommend this place, on Tuesdays only though. The service was really slow, to get the food and to get the bill. It wasn’t crazy busy but took almost an hour to get our food. We had to ask them where our food was after 45 minutes and then maybe they rushed it.
