La Carnita

It’s not winter, The coldest service and food I ever had. It’s not a sports bar or anything but the loud music is to compete with another restaurant nearby and waitress doesn’t hear a thing you speak. Ordered few starters - fried and grilled food means you expect something hot or at least warm but it was damn cold.

A great Mexican restaurant. Choice of taco and tostadas as well as bowls and burritos. Happy hour menu as well. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The option to remove cilantro which is great for those who don’t like them.

After a long day of shopping, this is where you need to go. Great staff amazing food and the drinks are killer. Malik and isiah made these wonderful short ribs. If you’re hungry, this is your spot! Ebony was our bartender she made me this amazing spicy margarita. The staff is very helpful and kind every time I come back to Canada I will be visiting this place.

I had a fantastic time at La Carnita! The food was delicious, my littler brother loved the kids menu, he told me to mention the chicken and fries are wayyyy better than mcdonalds. Our server, Joey, was amazing and so sweet. He was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Joey's great service made our meal even better. Definitely coming back to La Carnita, especially because of our server Joey!

My partner and I order from here at least once a month. We always get an order of the tiger shrimp and an order of corn. This time we ordered our usual, along with the short ribs. The short ribs were fine. Everything else was burnt. I cannot believe someone looked at that tortilla and thought it would be okay to give to a customer. There is no reason the shrimp should be black, as they cook very easily. This was a $65 bill for such a disappointing experience and I hope La Carnita makes right by this.

This place is so good. I’ve now been here twice in one week. The food is outstanding. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is just perfect. Kristie thanks for an awesome time, your service was perfect.

We went in and got seated but others came and got their orders before us. The waitress that served these persons did not look or asked if we were ok or to tell us that the person that is serving our table will be right over. I complained to the lady that seated us. The waitress that served us finally came over but did not offer a good enough explanation as to the tardy service but she offered to give us the desert on the house. (I am gluten sensitive so no help to me) Food is good anyway. Have the corn 🌽 and the shrimp tacos 🌮.

Its been a while coming back to this place. Tried a couple new plates. The Mexican sweet corn is so good. We also ordered bunito and spicy shrimp bowl. They are good size and super tasty. We are supper happy about the dishes. Just a reminder, the spicy shrimp is really spicy. I didn't feel much when I first had it but feel like my stomach is on fire after. And I normally handle quite high level of spicy. 🤪 A great place for a quick bite or a date. Taste of Mexico 🇲🇽
