La Carnita - Leslieville/Riverside (Queen St E)

I didn't actually dine in the restaurant this evening but I placed an order on UberEats but my driver only gave me one of the two bags. So I called in to explain the situation and they kindly offered to remake my missing food if I could come into the location. When I arrived at the location I met with the brother (I didn't catch their name but you my friend have amazing hair!) that I spoke with over the phone. They gave me my order and kindly informed me that they added some of their amazing churros to my bag to make up for this mishap. I was definitely not expecting this but the team at La Carnitas Leslieville went above and beyond this evening! I will definitely be returning to dine in very soon!

We had them cater to our office and the process was very smooth. They brought in tons of meats and sides for a reasonable price and everyone loved it! Great mix of flavours, and they brought in so much that we had leftovers. We would definitely consider them again in the future.

3 adults came here on Monday evening for dinner. We didn't realize it had a summerlicous menu, which we decided upon on because the prices and menu options were good. The place is big, long as they took us to the back. It was not busy and just had a few customers in the place. The restaurant had a cool vibe and had painted art on their walls. We ordered the short rib nachos to start with, then for the summerlicous menu, their fresh chips along with a side of your choice - I chose Salsa, then appetizers picked were the Mexican corn, two tacos of your choice and a desert, on the pictures are the churro and tres leches cake. The nachos were big and delicious. It had a pretty good amount of toppings on it. Their Tortilla chips were fresh and crunchy along with the dip that complimented it. We were surprised we got two large Mexican street corn as I was just expecting one. It was flavourful with all the toppings. We all only ate one since we all still had other courses to eat. Tacos pictured are the carne asada, cod, Baja shrimp and pork belly. I had the shrimp and pork belly. The pork belly would have been good if it was crispier and for the shrimp, would have liked to have a couple more pieces in, but otherwise it was good. I had the churro, still warm with the sauce and the others had the cake. I could've eaten 5 more of the churros with the sipbecause it was yummy. The cake was light, fresh and not to sweet as I tried a bite of it and the other enjoyed it as well. I would definitely recommend their summerlicous menu as it's good prices for what their offering in the menus. I have also been to other locations in the past too. Server came by often to check on us, was pleasant, refilled drinks and take away our plates. Washrooms were clean too.

Had an absolutely amazing meal with family here! Vibe was lively and fun - couldn’t help but sing along to all the tunes. Wait staff was WONDERFUL!! Helped made recommendations based on taste preference and allergies. One guest had celiac disease and they could extensive safety measures and modifications to ensure a safe and tasty meal

Absolutely loved everything we tried. All vegetarian. The corn on cob was great, they usually give 2 pieces, but we got 3 cause the size was small. The queso dip was warm and comforting. The sweet potato taco was surprisingly my favorite. The potatoes were crisp and tangy. And we ordered more of the mushroom tostada. The chorizo taco was average. Obviously ended the meal with tres leches 😁

I love La carnitas tacos! This place is perfect for big gatherings and birthdays. They are absolutely amazing, I also ordered their three dip and chips appetizer and it was filling! The three dips included: salsa, guacamole, and this amazing delicious bean dip. The tacos I enjoyed for this trip were the sweet potato tacos, they are deep fried sweet potato with a spicy sauce and are crunchy. You can pick and choose which tacos you want, I found two filling, but if you are hungry I would get three. They also have cute take-home containers which are taco friendly. Thank you to our server for an amazing experience and for the dessert! We had a wonderful time :)

The service was great! Our server was very attentive with our large group. The tacos are stacked, however they were overpowered by the fillings. I wasn't really able to taste the flavours of the shrimps and fish in my tacos until I pulled them out at had them individually, which they tasted great.

Very friendly service. Very good tacos. I had beef, chicken and pork belly. The food was not quite hot enough when served and we weren't sure if that was by design. Tacos were perfect size - not too small, as some places are. I personally did not love the salsa. The server also suggested chicken fingers/bites for our kids, which was nice and helpful. Overall a solid taco joint and would recommend it to others.
