Went for date night with my boyfriend & we both really enjoyed it. He had the beef nachos & I had thr gordita's (carnitas) The carne (meat) in both dishes was seasoned & cooked to perfection. We also ordered (each) a frozen margarita. Good size drink & good options for flavours. Servers were all extremely friendly & attentive. Highly recommend & would definitely go back. Gracias La Catina!

My girlfriend suggested this place and was not disappointed. The beef quesadillas were fantastic. Nice and filling. The waiter was polite and attentive (they speak both Spanish and English). A great spot for a quiet date to a throwback of authentic Mexican food!

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! I'm so basic that Mexican usually means tacos, but I'm trying to diversify and only reaping the benefits. The tortillas in the enchiladas are crispy even when doused in a refreshing salsa verde and filled with some moist chicken meat. It's finished with shredded lettuce, cojita cheese, and a side of frijoles, which makes me not regret trying something new. Of course, I had to get some tacos for comparison's sake, with a toasted corn tortilla and a deliciously moist, flavourful filling of beefy suaderos and porky carnitas.

My second time here, and it was more than I was expecting. I went with a Mexican friend, and she approved it. It is so tasty and has significant portions; I recommend sharing because it's a lot for just one person. We ordered the classic chips (nachos) and Guacamole; the guac was low in salt, which is good if you don't eat that salty. Then I ordered enchiladas Verdes, my favourite. They have fried chicken inside, and the green sauce is delicious. This time was a bit more spicy, but so far so good. My friends ordered micheladas, cheladas (beer with lemon, pepper and salt) and Margaritas. I tried the horchata, sweet and perfect; I was so delighted. I want to come back; I highly recommend it. Ps. We went out on Saturday, and a Mariachi band made our night enjoyable.

Amazing atmosphere. The music was lovely and Latin. Decorations an ambience were perfect. The food and drinks were fresh, came out fast and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We will absolutely be coming back! We ate until we were stuffed. Great portions and I’d highly recommend going!

Had a fabulous meal! Very friendly and attentive stuff. All of the food was very fresh and drinks were refreshing! The decor of the restaurant was charming. Decent value for the money! Overall just a great experience and will be back again try some more specialties! The lamb tacos were the highlight of the meal!

Always my go-to for authentic Mexican food. The enmoladas are some of the best I’ve tried in the city - the mole is rich and complex, and the chicken is always tender, juicy, and in the most fluffy corn tortilla. I recently tried the piña en el cantaro cocktail, and would absolutely recommend it.
