Overcooked meats and the portion in the menu said it was a half a pound of lamb, and here is the photo of what a half-pound looks like in that restaurant. Moreover, my wife ordered the surf & turf, and we were told by the waitress that the lobster tail was from PEI, but clearly, it’s a Caribbean lobster as you can see in the image Caribbean lobsters are smaller and has white spots it was clearly dry and frozen prior the cooking….. -Looks like this Caribbean lobster’s tail is telling a tall tale—Maritime lobsters would never come up short like this Very disappointing

My friend D used to organize his annual birthday parties at this restauraunt as it was the only Nicaraguan restauraunt downtown Toronto. I was a bit unfamiliar with what Nicaraguan cuisine was but after trying this place a few times I was satisfied with the food. We'd tried the Cerdo Con Yucca which was a tower of pan-fried pork served on yucca (similar to french fries) and pickled cabbage salad. Unfortunately the tower was a bit dry so that was the only real downside to the meal. The grilled fish was perfectly seasoned and the rice was moist. If we ever have friends or family in the mood for Nicaraguan cuisine this is definitely the spot we'd take them too.

When we walked into this restaurant, we were instantly enveloped by the sounds, smells and vibe of the place. The atmosphere was authentic, warm and friendly. The cocktails were delightful and fresh. I tried a freshly made chia and lemon juice and it was refreshing and unique. The fish ceviche was fresh but a little too sweet and had a tomato sauce undertone, quite different from how a typical ceviche would taste. The fried calamari was lightly dusted and delicately fried, it was excellent. The mixed appetizers featured fried cheese and fried plantains. They were authentic and tasty. The main courses were delicious but not outstanding. The rice and beans in the carne asada was a little dry. The garlic rice in the carmarones a la sabana was fragrant and flavourful. The butter fries shrimps were plump and juicy. But the overall seasoning of the dish was a little mild. Overall, this meal was great, and it was just the type of South American flavours we were looking for that night!

Food was excellent, portions were large and the servers were friendly and attentive despite the place being totally full. I got the mojito cocktail and it was delicious. We got the ceviche starter and it was also very good. The fried cheese was like a greasy smashed mozzarella stick and I would consider going back just for that. We made a reservation and didn’t have to wait but even walk-ins seemed to be seated rather quickly.

Great service and food. The fish of the day was perfectly fried, wow was it ever crispy. The white rice is more flavourful than the bean rice IMO. The shrimp dinner was perfectly cooked and juicy. The shrimp ceviche had tons of flavors . Definitely recommend a try.

La Bella Managua offers good food with friendly service. I especially enjoyed the Cajun shrimp stir fry, but the rice was a bit too saucy for my taste. The portion size was decent for the price. Overall, a solid dining experience!

Outstanding local restaurant. Ample menu and portions, fresh ingredients, satisfying plates. Vibrant ambiance - doesn’t make you feel like eating in a library. Fair prices. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and nice staff. Food is well priced and seems authentic. The fish of the day is very good but a little hard to eat with all the bones. The portions are large on main dishes. The portion on the ceviche was pretty small
