KYUSHU Yakitori Izakaya

The atmosphere was filled with great vibes with helpful and friendly staff, make my brother birthday celebration even more special. Good food, wide menu. The interior decorations are charming~ We had a great time here.

We had a fantastic birthday celebration at the Izakaya service was fantastic, decor was very warm and comfortable. There are great selections of dishes, including appetizers, yakitori, and sushi. The wagyu yakitori was the best part!

This place definitely deserves 5/5 stars, don't know why there are so many one star reviews, I've been to much more disappointing restaurants than this. This is a chill, anime decorated izakaya place, seating is nicely spaced out and chairs are comfy. Went during their 20% off food promo, spent about $80/person for a group of four. All the food is very well seasoned and flavourful, there wasn't a dish I was dissatisfied with. Highly recommend the jelly fish, Fukuoka set (scallop, abalone, whelk skewer combo), the ika/beef/chicken thigh/tamago and A5 wagyu skewers. The uni cream udon is bussin, worth ordering multiple times. They also have an extensive alcohol menu and have a selection of mocktails as well. For drinks, I recommend the hyuga if you're into sweet/tangy drinks. Staff are very attentive and nice. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean. They also have a separate bar area for individuals who want to eat alone to sit at. Would definitely come back even if it's not 20% off. For all the people who find this pricey, the majority of Japanese yakitori izakaya places in the GTA are this price if not more at subpar quality with legit uncomfortable bar like seats. Much prefer the seating here rather than hurting my butt sitting on a bar stool for a couple hours.

T The restaurant isn’t busy on weekdays, and they offer a 20% discount on food and drinks. I only took a few photos of their dishes because most of the food, like sushi and meat skewers, isn’t fresh. It’s really tasteless, off, and lacks smoky flavors. Additionally, the Oden isn’t savory, and I’m not sure if they make their own dashi soup. I think this restaurant is overrated. Another big disappointment is that they don’t use proper sushi soy sauce—it tastes overly salty. For this price, I think there are plenty of better Izakaya options in Thornhill, North York and Downtown. There’s a lot of room for improvement in both cooking and ingredient quality.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how amazing everything was! The food and atmosphere were very comforting. I tried many things here I haven't tasted before and I'm looking forward to coming here again ^_^ I recommend horse meat sashimi, monk fish liver, jellyfish, chicken skin skewer, and their milk pudding! (You get it for free if you post and tag the restaurant on your Instagram story)

Second time coming here. They currently have 20% off food on Mondays to Thursdays (and 50% off drinks on Fridays and Saturdays). I really like the food and service here. Highlights for me are the abalone skewers, kyushu (burdock) fries, pork knuckles, torched mackerel and chicken nanban (especially the egg salad). Seating is comfortable and spacious. Service is also very attentive and quick.

Authentic Kyushu taste. Excellent service and love the decorations and atmosphere. Still yet to try their Tiramisu but their brown sugar pudding is fabulous. I personally like the yakitori dishes. Will definitely go for seconds!

i loved the dishes & service at KYUSHU! Kohei gave wonderful suggestions for foods to try (as it was my first time w/ my friends at the restaurant) & they were all very delicious! my friends & the entire staff surprised me big for my birthday as well - they set up the music & lights to match the ambience. most of all, their interior decor really caught my eye - almost like a little trip to Japan! thank you for an amazing time~ ♡
