KoSam Korean Restaurant & Bar is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.

Brought to you by the owners of a renowned restaurant that has operated for more than 40 years in South Korea, Koryo brings the true taste of Korean cuisine to Toronto! We are a family owned restaurant and opened up the restaurant to share our passion and love for great tasting authentic dishes. Our first location opened many many years ago at 5865 Leslie Street in a small plaza. Our signature dish is the famous Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, which is also known commonly as Koryo Samgyetang in English.

The seafood pancake was nice & crispy but I found it thick and does not have much seafood other than a few squid rings. The samgyetang came with a small dish of noodle. It was delicious and the chicken was tender. I was disappointed we didn’t get any kimchi side dish. There wasn’t any service from the waitress - we had to flag her down each time we needed more tea or side dishes.

Authentic Korean cuisine. I love their sweet and spicy deep fried chicken.

The few times we came, we ordered the hot stone rice which was tasty. This time we ordered the seafood pancake which was delicious and crispy but rather small for the price. I must mention we enjoyed the variety of appetizers and the girl server was so friendly and sweet.

Located in the Pickel Barrel Plaza in the south east corner of Leslie and Cummer. There is plenty of parking with some accessible parking close by There are plenty of seating options for any sized party. The staff is very friendly and quick to seat you The menu is very straight forward and has a nice variety The food is well presented and well seasoned. There is some salt on the table to add to your desired level which I appreciate. Will come back for further exploration of the menu options

Not good any more. The soup came out burnt, as you can see in the photo. When I brought it up to the server, they repeatedly insisted that this was “normal,” which was hard to believe. No wonder the place was empty. I won’t be coming back here again.

I recently revisited because it was one of my friend's bday dinner and he wanted chicken soup. Tonkatsu: Honestly, this is prolly more worth it than the koryo samgyetang. The cutlet was huge and juicy. Koryo Samgyetang: Bruh. $25.99. Hell no. No way. Tastes exactly the same as before but there is no way in hell this small bowl of chicken soup went from 14.99 to 25.99 even factoring in recent inflation. Daylight robbery imo. Seafood pancake: Surprisingly, this time the seafood pancake was MUCH better than the one I had on my last visit. Is it worth 18.99? HELL NO, once again. Wayyyy overpriced. True to my word I've gotta award 3 stars after coming back. Knowing what they USED to charge for food vs now is a travesty. The food selection at this location is also not as expansive as the one on Yonge St. I can't see myself coming back here on my own. You feel hungry after dining and flies flying out of your wallet as well to top it off. The food is not mind-blowingly good enough for me to award higher than 3 stars.

This is a Korean restaurant, mainly serving dishes like Kimchi soup and Korean mixed rice. As a Thai person, I have to say that the taste is very ordinary. Korean restaurants in Bangkok are tastier, have a wider selection of menus, and are much cheaper. However, for Toronto, where most food is tasteless, I must say this is already good enough.

Good authentic Korean restaurant. I tried their beef and chicken cutlet rice dishes. Servers are attentive and respectful. The dishes are on the pricier side compared to other Korean restaurants, but they do give large portions. The Leslie location has less menu items available than the Sheppard location.
