Kong! Burgers

I’m giving this a 5 star rating hands down. Great service, amazing food. What else are you going to ask for? I got the lamb burger combo, upgraded the side to feta fries. Everything was so flavorful and tasty. The burger was dressed perfectly with feta, tzatziki, the onions add a nice to the burger (I’m not generally an onion fan), lettuce and tomatoes. The fries came out nice with their house sauce, feta and various seasoning. Overall, it’s a nice food joint. Good amount of seating at a good price.

Service was friendly and helpful, space was super clean. But then the burgers...Wow! what a burger!! It was big and juicy, fresh ground meat, crispy on the edges and not overdone inside, the toppings were super fresh too. And the bun was just the right size for the burger...instead of ending up with last two bites of just bread and topping because the bun was too big. We had real ice cream milkshakes as well with real whipping cream...delicious! Photo is of the Godzilla burger - double smash patty. I highly recommend this place when you want a gourmet burger at a non-gourmet price.

Service was great, friendly and strive for good customer satisfaction. Location is easy get to, seemed to be a popular Location when we went. Was a full house of outgoing orders and customers waiting. A few sat inside and are, Many others was takeouts. They offer a good selection on menu. Maybe a little too much so you can't say it's a specialized place. Offer a variety of ice cream shakes and desserts so that's nice. Burger we had was to be a single smash burger. Unfortunately what we got seemed to be more of a simple regular burger. Flavor was was just not a true smash with good bark and thin crispy. Fries is nice that you have also options which was great. Regular fries and crispy fries so that's a plus as they can cater to all desires. The staff was happy and friendly and played along with my pics l, thanks for your service and patience. Will come again when in the area, did leave a small suggestion on what a smash burger should be. Location is 6 months old so still fresh and learning the requirements of locals. Cheers Rob

A new and amazing burger joint in the Scarborough/Port Union area. Not that many burger options in the area, so it's great to see this place there! Delicious, juicy, burgers from simple smash burgers to stacked and huge burgers, you can't go wrong! They also have their chicken sandwiches, our favorite was the spicy crispy fay with an incredible batter and crust. Fabulous milkshakes as well, not thick at all and a great selection to choose from. A wonderful family business that you should definitely check out!

First Visit to Kong Burger. Service was normal, nothing over the top. Not over welcoming. But the girl at the front was kind and helpful. Ordered the 6 oz Kong burger 🍔 Haya chicken burger, Pountine and Feta Fries. The chicken is ground chicken sandwich with quality cheddar cheese. Tasty house sauce. Fries were tasty. Cooked well and didn't have to wait to long. Fresh food. Fairly priced. 4 star rating. Overall its a nice neighborhood burger joint with fair pricing and quality food. I noticed that they had fancy milkshakes also but never ordered them.

Really friendly service. Clean. Everything was well made. It’s a grilled burger which is a nice change from the oceans of smash burgers right now. We got a kong burger (6oz) and jr kong (4oz), fries and onion rings. This is the second time we’ve been back. Will come back again.

Original review: Important to note that everything is made fresh to order and there will be a wait time of about 10 minutes or so. You can ask for your burger to be well-done, medium-well, or medium. If you don’t want to wait at the store, you can order ahead for pickup. With that being said, everything we ate here was delicious and cooked to perfection! There were so many choices, it took my children and I some time to choose. Very thankful for the patient cashier, and friendly owner who answered all of our questions. We ordered: King Kong Burger (medium), Kong Burgers, Jr. Kong (well-done), Crispy Fray (crispy chicken), Lamb Burger (medium-well), Fray (grilled chicken), fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, poutine, coffee, and milkshakes. Before I even took a bite of my Lamb Burger, I already knew that the food was very good because my normally chatty children were being so quiet while eating. I am currently in a food coma, but I am already planning our next visit! June 2024: We have eaten here almost every week since our first visit, and we have never been disappointed. The food and service are always top notch - and there is usually 7 of us ordering different items, so that says a lot about this place.

First time here (considering the shop is 3 weeks new at the time of writing) The classic burger is as advertised. It's the classic home fresh burger experience and it was damn juicy. Everything component was perfect in the burger and it was quite massive (we ordered the 10oz King Kong, so it's expected). As far as a classic burger goes, it was exactly that, so don't expect some special unique seasoning for this. That you can expect from their special burgers. I watched them grind the patty as I was ordering, so I know it was fresh for sure! Only feedback was that it needs a tad bit more salt (but there days most people are salt conscious, so it's ok) We also tried the feta fries and the size difference between their Kong! And King Kong! Sizes is immense. I wish the cheese was chunkier but the flavor was still great The fellow at the front made a milkshake using the flavors available up front. They let you choose scoops, up to 3 scoops to make a milkshake. Also delicious. I don't normally frequent the area, but I'm sure to try something else from here on my next visit.
