Kokoria - Korean fried chicken(Sushi in Sushi)

So so soooooo good. I ordered pick up through their website and they only took 20 mins to make 1 sushi party tray and 1 whole chicken half&half. The price is extremely reasonable. $90 for 4 people. This is so close to my home and they have both korean fried chicken and sushi. All my favorite!!! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great Korean chicken place.

This spot was the perfect place to celebrate Excellent "Classic" Korean fried chicken but the special spicy being was the start of the meal (only if you can handle the side)! I think this is my favorite spicy fried chicken. Spicy salmon rolls were super good according to my family who gobbled them all up while I was too distracted by the delicious chicken. The cheese balls are spectacle too

Pleasantly surprised by how good the fried chicken is! I ordered the half and half chicken (soy garlic and yangnyeum) to-go. The smell was so amazing I had to try it as soon as I got into the car. Excellent texture and taste! The portion is also very generous.

We initially couldn't find this until realizing it is inside/part of the Sushi-in-Sushi restaurant that is on the billboard. The salmon lovers combo was delicious and generous portions, with really great quality salmon that was prepared to my taste. The rolls were balanced well, and the value was great. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. The seasoning could have been a bit more sour/spicy but the pickled radish side dish helped with the sour flavor. Would gladly return!

I've had better Korean fried chicken in Scarborough/Markham/Richmond Hill but this is still pretty decent Korean fried chicken in Peel region. I ordered takeout via online and got the half fried & half sauce chicken (yang-nyuem) bone in ($40.99). I also ordered the crispy seaweed rolls (5 pcs), garlic butter French fries (small) and received 2 complimentary pickled radish on the side. My order included 10 pcs of chicken each. The fried chicken was juicy and had nice crispy skin but it lacked a little bit of flavour and was a bit bland for me. The yang-nyuem chicken had a nice sweet flavour but I wish it was more savoury. And as for the crispy seaweed rolls, they weren't exactly my favourite since the filling only had sticky rice and some veggies but they were surprisingly flavourful. The garlic butter fries were really good and had a nice sweet buttery taste to it. Overall, the chicken was good and the location is convenient but it's somewhat overpriced for the quality and amount that you get.

In the past when I craved Korean fried chicken I had to drive all the way down to Dundas where it seems all the Korean restaurants are located. All in all a 30 mins drive just to enjoy. Randomly scrolling I saw Kokoria and that it was located at Battleford. I thought it was a mistake and didn't pay attention. Today I was in the Dundas area and decided to search for a place to make a quick take out order. It was the first location to pop up. We called and to our surprise yes they were close to home. Placed our order and headed there. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and took my order with no issues. She answered all my questions and told us 30 mins. We had a 5 min wait when we got there. Now this place is located INSIDE Sushi in Sushi which is pretty much behind ExxonMobil gas station. You cant miss it, just walk inside the Sushi restaurant. Our order was Piping hot which was a huge deal for me. It meant I could actually enjoy this as it was meant and not luke warm driving 30 mins before being able to eat it. We ordered half and half fried chicken bone in (garlic soy/plain) and large fries w/cheese powder on top. Introduced my aunt to this for the first time and she absolutely loved it as did I. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries were nice and crispy. Such a game changer enjoying this Piping hot 🔥 The only minor detail miss for me was the radish. They were served dry, I'm used to having them in the brine so they stay sharp and crisp especially if you want it the next day. We didn't finish ours and I hope they don't dry out by tomorrow. Overall a great first impression and I will absolutely 💯 be back especially now that this place is practically in my backyard. I will try dining in and trying some other side dishes.

The fried chicken was absolutely amazing. Went with a large Yang-nyuem bone in chicken. Very very tasty. This was an ubereats order, so I can only imagine how much better it would be delivered to your table if you were dining in. The gyoza also was very good. Went with the pork. I'd definitely order again, and look forward to dining in.
