Kibo Sushi House - Woodbridge is a new restaurant in Vaughan opened more than 6 months ago.

At Kibo, we believe the term hope can answer all life’s problems. From what to eat to where to eat at, Hope is your answer. Derived our name from the Japanese interpretation of Hope (希望 kibō), Kibo Sushi House was born simply because we believe greatly in hope. Hope - in the sense that if you work hard, you will always be rewarded one way or another. As we embed this belief into our restaurant, from selecting fresh, local ingredients; to cooking them with love and serving them to your table with our bright smiles; we hope that you enjoy and appreciate all that we put into your favourite dishes.

There are very tiny piece of fish on the top of each rolls. The rest are just cucumbers and regular stuff. Never going to order again.

Not a sit down place which we didn’t realize on our first trip here. Got boxes here three times now and they are soooooo good!!! And pretty! Definitely good sushi!

My first time eating and doing take-out delivery with Kibo Sushi House - Woodbridge through DoorDash delivery was an absolute fabulous experience! My delivery arrived within 10 minutes of me placing my order. Excellent service, indeed! I ordered the Teriyaki Bento box, which was $19, but the choice of protein in which I chose the bulgogi beef, added on another $2. So, in total, it was about $22. My order contained white rice with black sesame seeds and seaweed sprinkles on top, a side of soba/ japchae noodles, very flavorful bulgogi beef with some stir fried veggies underneath, , as well as salad and soup on the side. To my surprise, when I had opened my delivery package, I noticed I was gifted with a FREE fried chicken box, plus 1 fried veggie mandu, and 1 fried broccoli, with a “Thank you” note on top of the box! This lunch was the highlight of my day, to be frank! I had such a delightful experience with Kibo Sushi House - Woodbridge, and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for pleasant Japanese food! Hands down of the bestest restaurants I’ve ever eaten at 👏 10/10 ! The only minor thing that I would improve would be the miso broth, as it quite plain to be honest and is lacking umami, but other than that, the food was awesome and the portions are even better in real life than online! Now, that is a jubilant surprise that will for sure turn new customers into regulars :) It’s been quite a long time since I’ve seen a restaurant in the GTA that I am proud of 🙌 Will definitely order from here again 💯 Keep up the good work, Kibo Sushi House - Woodbridge 🗣️! Edit - I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento via Uber Eats this time, and I was quite disappointed to be honest. It was far from great from my first order at Kibo Sushi. Therefore, I’ve decided to change my previous 5 star review to 4 stars, instead. The salmon to carbs (japchae & rice) ratio is unbalanced, with more of the carbs and less of the salmon, unfortunately. The japchae was also more salty this time. There were more veggies and carbs than there were of the salmon that I even had to add in leftover tofu I made the night before to add more protein to the meal. Also, this time around, I didn’t get free chicken like before, but I understand they need profit, so it makes sense. However, I’m wondering if the Uber Eats receipt stating that I paid less made them act this was or not. Because I didn’t pay $18.31 for this lunch nor got special offer , but I paid the full $21.92 for it. I wonder if this price miscalculation on Uber Eats part made them react this way or lessen the quality of service. Because for $21.92, I’m expecting a bit more salmon. I probably won’t be ordering here again, but if I do, then I’ll just order the beef only as the beef was more of a generous portion.

I always enjoy visiting Kibo Sushi in our neighborhood. Sushi tastes fresh and portions are huge. The rolls are really tasty. Prices are reasonable and orders are quick. It’s no wonder this spot is so popular. There’s a great variety of rolls and combos to try each time I’m here for a quick bite.

Gave Kibo another try today and it was much better than my first experience. Rolls were regular size, items were fresh. Order was also ready super quick!

Got the family meal pack, great food. Rolls were delicious. The cut of sashimi in the platter (salmon and i think tuna) had that silver stringy lining in it. Had to pull it out of our mouths before we could eat it. Kaarage tasted really good. Glad we ge

"Kibo" means hope. And if you're hoping for tasty takeout sushi, this is the place for you! Kibo Sushi has expanded quickly with over 30 franchise locations in the GTA. Some have compared it to the McDonald's of sushi. So what's their secret sauce? They pride in using fresh ingredients, prepped to create one-of-a-kind rolls, and serving the food with smiles. From my experience, they stay true to their motto. The hope is that working hard will allow them to be rewarded. Kibo's grand maki options are no joke, and my favorite is Aburi Scallop Dragon Roll: a dynamited rolls topped with scallops, slightly torched to elevate a savoury umami mouthful. Takoyaki Tempura & Seaweed Wrap apps are also on point. All of their grand maki are generously prepped; some come with soft-shell crab or lobster tail as well. As another example: the Weston Roll is a unique offering for this location by Weston Rd with cream cheese, crabmeat, red pepper & avocado stuffed into a huge deep fried roll. Creative, and somehow the flavours work for a delicious meal. For a quick bite, there are daily specials including a Dynamite Roll + Salmon Sushi combo. Fresh ingredients shine through. For a small surcharge, it's worth upgrading to a tempera style roll for some bliss & crunchiness. Hope Kibo remains a staple in Woodbridge!

You can not go wrong when ordering from Kibo. Really tasty sushi, and fresh! All the fish have their own unique taste, and some of them are garnished to elevate the experience! Stop reading, start ordering! ***After 4 years of great sushi, sadly the streak has come to an end. The Woodbridge location have lowered their fish quality, the pieces are smaller, their sushi presentation looks ordinary, the packaging went from sturdy to flimsy, and no complimentary wasabi or soya sauce included (the girl behind the counter should have said something). I went from Five stars to One because the excitement of getting Kibo is now gone. If you like overpriced ordinary sushi Kibo Woodbridge is #1. Sad times.
