At Kibo, we believe the term hope can answer all life’s problems. From what to eat to where to eat at, Hope is your answer. Derived our name from the Japanese interpretation of Hope (希望 kibō), Kibo Sushi House was born simply because we believe greatly in hope. Hope - in the sense that if you work hard, you will always be rewarded one way or another. As we embed this belief into our restaurant, from selecting fresh, local ingredients; to cooking them with love and serving them to your table with our bright smiles; we hope that you enjoy and appreciate all that we put into your favourite dishes.

I absolutely LOVE this location! Staff is always super nice and their sushi is fantastic. Definitely my favourite sushi place in Upper Beaches!

I'm so disappointed. This is my favourite kibo location. I order from here often but the latest take out order I just received is not to their usual standard and quality. Two of my pieces are complete inedible! UPDATE: All of the avocado was diseased. The bottoms of the ones that looked okay to eat WERE NOT!

Good, fresh sushi. There are options ready-to-go but we waited under 10 min when ordered from the menu in Friday night. Great service. Lots of snacks and instant noodles etc, even hot water and microwave provided.

Sushi was delicious, no complaints and perfect for take out. They have two small tall window tables but otherwise nowhere for dine-in so beware. Salmon lover combo was made fresh and very good which came with a salad and miso soup. Also took a freshly made veggie combo which the sweet potato one was my favourite! Street parking (by meter).

Ordered by telephone and was very friendly and efficient. Anthony works the front desk. Food was fresh and when I added soy sauce, it wasn’t a problem. I highly recommend this sushi house.

The place seemed nice enough and our order was made on time. I ordered the Aburi maki and sushi set. I don't know what I received, but you couldn't call it sushi. Everything was DRENCHED in the same weird topping/sauce - it didn't make any sense. I think it was trying to cover for the fact there was barely any fish in the sushi/maki, which were all cooked through in the torching process. It's a shame because the other kibo chains have been my go-to and this one is the closest to me. I rarely post reviews but this was exceptionally bad.

I just picked up a combo spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls 8 pieces each. I can't determine if it's real salmon or tuna let alone which is tuna or salmon. It's chopped which is not my favorite but this looks like it's mixed with filler. Picture on right is off their website other 2 are what I got. Not fresh, too much spicy messy mayo and not impressed.

Really impressed with this place! The price point is on par with the quality, freshness and taste of their food - which is ultimately what I look for. We usually travel cross-town to go to our favourite sushi places so I'm happy to see more places like this opening up. Ordered butterfish sashimi, salmon hand roll and the salmon avocado roll. The last two mentioned had this red mayo sauce (supposed to be spicy? not sure) drizzled on top which to me I don't think they needed. They were tasty enough on their own. Service was friendly. Great addition to the Kingston Rd restos!
