At Kibo, we believe the term hope can answer all life’s problems. From what to eat to where to eat at, Hope is your answer. Derived our name from the Japanese interpretation of Hope (希望 kibō), Kibo Sushi House was born simply because we believe greatly in hope. Hope - in the sense that if you work hard, you will always be rewarded one way or another. As we embed this belief into our restaurant, from selecting fresh, local ingredients; to cooking them with love and serving them to your table with our bright smiles; we hope that you enjoy and appreciate all that we put into your favourite dishes.

I ordered a selection of rolls, and while some were very fresh and flavorful, a couple felt a bit average. The service was friendly and attentive, though at times it took a little while for our orders to arrive during peak hours.

*Good to note there is a 10 percent discount on cash payments. Great bang for your buck Sushi location with nice servers. Portion sizes are big for what you pay for. Ordered the 2 person meal set that featured appetizers and rolls which we enjoyed. The rolls are good while the side dishes aren’t exactly the highest quality although still satisfactory. For quick, easy and relatively cheap sushi this is a good spot.

Ordered the Weston Maki x2, the menu says 6 SIX pieces, the food comes and it’s only 5 pieces each, so I ask and the waitress says it’s 5. I show her the menu and she insists it’s 5, I refer to the menu again and she takes it away. Comes back and says the chef just cut it into 5 pieces which I don’t believe is true as the Kibo in Cabbagetown always gives me the correct portions. Additionally there’s a 10% discount if you pay cash, so I walk to the ATM before coming. Got here and get the total and ask about the sign with the 10% and she repeats the same total. So I ask AGAIN as I did the math and then she goes to a secondary register and applies the advertised discount. Last time coming to this Kibo, very weird vibes and service.

This is lowest effort Bento box I've ever had. Rice and a two half full parts of the container with literally two mouthfuls of salad, and a little bit of noodles. Don't think I've ever been more disappointed with almost $20 worth of food.

Affordable prices for much better than average sushi. Ordered the Sushi Combo C which came with a miso soup. Food arrived promptly and was presented nicely. Portion size was good given the price. I went during lunch time and was happy with the overall service. Good ambience with soft music playing, thankfully it wasn't too crowded at the time which made for a relaxing lunch.

3 of us went for dinner at Kibo Sushi House last night. The staff very extremely friendly and fast. I love the ambiance in the restaurant. Brick walls and very decorative. I had the bento box which was tasty, but for 14.99 and without any sushi was a little steep in my books. My guests had 2 sushi specials that were delicious too. The portion size was enough to fill us up. We will be back here for sure.
