At Kibo, we believe the term hope can answer all life’s problems. From what to eat to where to eat at, Hope is your answer. Derived our name from the Japanese interpretation of Hope (希望 kibō), Kibo Sushi House was born simply because we believe greatly in hope. Hope - in the sense that if you work hard, you will always be rewarded one way or another. As we embed this belief into our restaurant, from selecting fresh, local ingredients; to cooking them with love and serving them to your table with our bright smiles; we hope that you enjoy and appreciate all that we put into your favorite dishes.

Second time here and safe to say its my favorite sushi place in Toronto. Ordered miso soup and green salad. Followed with chicken udon and a sushi combo A. Superb menu full of healthy and delicious options for all to enjoy. Will definitely be making my visits here regular!

I've been going to Kibo Sushi for years, and it's been my go-to spot in the Annex for a long time. However, my recent experiences have left much to be desired. Last Saturday, I ordered the Sushi & Maki Combo B for pick-up, looking forward to the usual quality. This was not just a shocking oversight but also a serious health and safety issue with a potential choking hazard. However, when we got home, we discovered that the sushi rolls with fake crab were still wrapped in plastic. It was a shocking oversight, and we had to take the order back to have it remade. While they did apologize and remake the order, no effort was made to compensate for the inconvenience of having to make an extra trip to the restaurant. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Kibo. A few months ago, I placed an order and specifically requested that the vegetable rolls be packed separately for my vegetarian friend. Despite these clear instructions, everything was packed in one box. Again, they apologized and remade the order, but there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. I’ve always enjoyed the taste of Kibo's sushi, but the recent decline in both quality and service, coupled with the lack of effort to make things right, is hard to ignore. It’s also worth mentioning that Kibo has multiple locations in the city, and my friends have noted that the quality of food and service can vary between locations. Unfortunately, it seems like you’re taking a chance with the Annex location. It’s disappointing to see a place I once loved slipping like this. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning anytime soon. If anyone has recommendations for good sushi spots in the Annex area, I’d love to hear them!

Absolutely delighted with my experience at Kibo Sushi House! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and elegant. The service was exceptional—attentive and knowledgeable staff made sure we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. The sushi was simply outstanding; each piece was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The attention to detail in both the taste and presentation. Overall, Kibo Sushi House exceeded all expectations. It's a true gem for sushi lovers, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended

Amazing place, Great food and the interior of the restaurant fits the vibe. Would recommend. We visited eight times in two weeks for lunch and the restaurant didn’t disappoint even once. 11/10 so he was great, and I would also recommend the salmon don

Great Sushi options. We ordered Miso soup, Veggie Gyoza tempura, 4 different Sushi varieties. Dynamite, Green veggie, Butter Fish Tempura, Snow Dragon. Out of these Snow Dragon and Green veggie were my favourite. All in all a great experience. The ambience is also very good. Keep it up guys! :)

Sushi combo is great. The fish is soft and fresh. The sushi shows care and is decorative. They have some unique rolls even a set called sushi pizza. You save 10% by paying cash. They have a popular sushi boat for two or more in a large brass bowl which looks cool. They do a huge take out business. The vibe is cool, a little hip, but comfy.
