Kelseys Original Roadhouse

I went in with my girlfriend tonight and decided to have dinner at Kelsey’s. And what we experienced was absolutely horrible. They took a whole hour to cook our food when it wasn’t even busy. They took us in right away which was great. Our server came to our table able after 10 minutes and asked what would we like to drink. We ordered our drinks and then we did not see our server until 25 minutes later. We ordered our food and waited patiently. 30 minutes later another waitress came to our table and said the food will be out in 5 minutes and they were going to provide us with 15% off on our bill. There were two people that came in after us. They were immediately served, received their meals. And 4 uber eats drivers came in and grabbed their orders while this went on. At one point of the time that we were there. EVERYONE ELSE had their meals, eating peacefully while me and my girlfriend starved and waited. 20 minutes later the food arrives. We were already irritated because we waited this long. I asked them to pack it up and give me the bill. Our server gave me attitude and told me “ we are going to give you the meal for free. It’s not my fault, blame The kitchen” great customer service skills 👍We took our food home to eat and you can tell they forgot about us and rush cooked our food. My steak was not cooked to how I requested it. My girlfriend’s poutine tasted like cardboard. I 10000% DO NOT recommend going there. Save your money and the headaches.

So we waited 1.5 hours to get served. My salmon was as dry as it comes. Like it sat under the heating lamp for 40 mins, our kids waited so long to eat. The wait staff had no idea who was eating what. One of them even brought one of the plates out using her sleeve bc it was hot (not a napkin her sleeve!!!) when I complained at the end she merely said sorry and handed me the payment pos. This has been by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

We had our annual Christmas party here for staff. We met Steve the owner, and he made himself available to all of us, and even helped Stephanie, our waitress with the tables. We will likely reschedule again next year and revisit … I had the steak, and can’t help think, Steve picked the piece for me. Thank you for your great service. We’ll be treating ourselves at your location again soon.

I go here quite often for the half-price wings on Thursday by the bar. Our waiter is extremely nice and she always gives me extra Apple butter sauce.

I had my first bad experience here after many visits. Today we had a reservation for 12 people.The food was great but the service was definitely below par. We asked our server about the soup twice and she still forgot to get back to us. She just brought out our entrees instead. My wife was served sprite or 7up instead of the water she asked for. Multiple people had empty drinks that went ignored. We were there for about 2 hours and we we were barely checked up on. No one cleared our table for about 30 min after everyone was done eating. I got fed up and did it myself. The worst part was at the end of the night, we were told there is an automatic 18% gratuity for large groups. Then it all made sense. We got terrible service because the server knew she would be getting a nice tip no matter how good or bad the service was.

If you're looking for a great restaurant, Kelseys Original Roadhouse (at 1972 Eglinton Avenue East, Scarborough, ON) is the place to be. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great and the staff are so friendly and courteous. A big shout to Dave, Shefiq and the rest of the amazing staff. My sister-in-law and I have been going to Kelseys for several years and we call it our "local". A few of my favourite dishes are the: (1) Ultimate Double Bacon Cheeseburger. I can't say enough about this burger - it's stacked high, juicy patties with bacon, cheese and the works and the French fries that come with it are out of this world. (2) Shrimp Curry Thai Bowl (I get mine with the noodles - you have your choice of rice instead). OMG! So good! And you can have that with chicken instead. (3) Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Delicious, grilled chicken, real bacon pieces, croutons and creamy Caesar salad dressing. (4) White Chocolate Cheesecake, where you can have either caramel or chocolate sauce (or both) drizzled on top with a dollop of fresh whip cream. Taking a bite out of this dessert is like Heaven. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you so much for making our lunch/dinner experiences there, amazing! First time to a Kelsey ever. Kelsey has a variety of food and drinks to choose from. The price was reasonable. I enjoyed the Cajun Fried Shrimp. The server was great and greeted me warmly. Attachments are the menu photos of the restaurant. I will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing time here. The first thing that stood out once I was seated was the warm, welcoming waitress Maria. She made us feel comfortable right away and helped us choose what to oder. We were not disappointed at all. I had the steak fajitas and it was delicious. My drink was amazing too. I can't wait to go back again.
