Kayamono japanese restaurant

I have been there a few times to take advantage of the cash discount they used to give. The food is ok, but staff don’t even smile. I was there this week and they have suspended the cash discount that they have always given to customers during the tax free period. The explanation given by the staff was that they still pay taxes and we don’t need more discount because the government removed the taxes. So basically they want to make more money because the customers got a benefit from the government to pay less. It is their right to remove the discount whenever they want, but they have always offered that discount… This is called opportunism . I will not be going back. I wonder if all businesses will do that during boxing day, and the end of season sales as well… we won’t get discounts because of the tax free period. a completely unacceptable.

Kayamono is a really nice restaurant. My family loves this place. We typically take a la carte option. Food is always tasty and the staff is great! They have a wide selection of individual dishes and combos. My personal favorite is Bento box 4.

Good sushi and great staff. I was in a hurry and asked if they could do a quick meal in 20 min. The hostess said sure! I had some salmon sushi, green dragon roll, and some cucumber rolls to go. They had me fed and out the door in 20 min as promised. Food was great!

The service, while not exceptional, is solid and attentive, with staff ensuring that orders are taken and dishes arrive promptly. You won’t get an over-the-top experience, but you can count on the team to be responsive and courteous throughout your visit. The steak and chicken dishes stand out, prepared with care and delivering excellent flavor. Both meats are tender and well-seasoned, offering a delightful break from the typical sushi options. These dishes highlight the kitchen’s ability to cook proteins to perfection. However, the sushi rolls left something to be desired. The quality of the rice was lacking, with some rolls arriving a bit dry and not holding together as well as they should. Given that rice is the foundation of any good sushi, this was a noticeable drawback in an otherwise enjoyable meal. All in all, Kayamono offers solid value for an all-you-can-eat sushi spot with friendly service and flavorful non-sushi options. With some improvements to the sushi rice, this restaurant could elevate its offerings even further.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. While eating my meal, I found a piece of metal in my food, which I unfortunately discovered only after taking it out of my mouth. We immediately informed the waiter, who spoke to the owners. They initially only offered us a discount, despite this being a clear health hazard. I stopped eating the dish at that point and requested a full refund. Instead of taking accountability, they gave us an ultimatum: either accept a discount or get a full refund but never be welcomed back. We chose the latter because this kind of negligence is unacceptable. Finding metal in your food is a serious safety issue, and the way the situation was handled only added to our disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Quality fish and ingredients. Kayamono has a vast menu with everything you’d expect to be at an AYCE sushi spot, but with so much more. Plenty of variety in fish for sashimi and entrees as well. Ordering in the iPad is quick and easy. The only thing is the prices are a bit high.

My family loved this place! We've visited this restaurant several times already. They offer AYCE menu and a la carte option. Very nice ambiance with soft mellow music in the background. The food is tasty and have great selection. Service is great and servers were courteous. They have birthday promo (50% off for the celebrant). You get 10% off your bill when you pay cash.
