My second time trying Pork Loin Katsu but my first time trying it the right way. Pork is so juicy, flavourful and crisp while the sauce compliments the meat well. Portions are a good size and service was great.

Fantastic experience here. I would describe the vibe of the restaurant to be industrial/rustic. It’s very cozy and comforting. The food was exceptional! I had the carbonara udon which was such a treat for my taste buds. Velvety, creamy and packed with flavour! The shrimp was battered perfectly and every component of the dish had its chance to shine! My partner had the original pork katsu dish and as katsu is their specialty, it is no surprise that it was delicious as well! The protein again was fried perfectly and every piece complimented the others. Our server was so sweet and attentive. World absolutely to recommend this place to anyone looking for an intimate and delicious experience!

Great lunch experience! Server was lovely when we came in with a stroller. Food was delicious! Had takoyaki, red carbonara udon, and curry katsu! Recommend all three!

Unfortunately this meal didn't click with me. I got the honeycomb cheese katsu and found it was really overpowered by the mustard and there was no hint of honey at all. My friend got the sweet potato red carbonara and barely got through half of it. My other friend got the cheese katsu and it was fine. For what it's worth and from what I can tell, the store isn't run by Japanese people.

Katsuya is a delightful Japanese restaurant known for its authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere. **Food:** The menu features a range of traditional Japanese dishes, with a particular emphasis on katsu (breaded and fried meats). The katsu curry is a standout, perfectly crispy and served with a rich sauce. The sushi and sashimi are also fresh and beautifully presented. **Atmosphere:** The setting is warm and cozy, with a modern yet relaxed vibe. It’s a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. **Service:** The staff is friendly and attentive, often going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. They’re knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. **Value:** Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and generous portion sizes. It’s a good option for those looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. **Overall Experience:** Katsuya offers a delicious and authentic Japanese dining experience, making it a must-visit for fans of the cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood for katsu, sushi, or a comforting bowl of ramen, you won’t be disappointed!

Seating was very quick as well as food service! I was not aware there was complimentary miso soup as well. Today was a very hot summer day, and they had the air conditioning running and cold water in a metal container. This is my first time to the Toronto location and I am pleasantly surprised!

Great customer service, very friendly staff. The pork loin katsu tastes plain without sauce. I recommend the honeycomb sauce. I also liked the honey butter fries, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All of the food tasted freshly made.

Great food!! I absolutely love the takoyaki and croquettes here as they’re perfectly crispy, yet juicy and delicious on the inside. Although pricey, I believe the price is worth the experience.
