Really delicious sandos. Been visiting for years and it's always a delicious meal. The tamago sando and Japanese poutine (they use Japanese curry instead of gravy) are my go to items!

The shrimp sandwich was a lil spicy for me. The pork sandwich was really good. Also got a loaf of their milk bread and it is very fluffy and fresh! I ordered online and went to pick up. They refunded me the vanilla shokupan that I ordered which is weird cause they have it on their website but she said they dont sell it? Was dissappointed about that cause I saw the shelf had a sign for vanilla&honey flavor too.

Delicious and freshly made! The ebi (shrimp) katsu was amazing and so was the chicken katsu. Their milk bread is fluffy and not too heavy. The seaweed fries and their curry sauce dip were also delicious. The only mistake we made was ordering through UberEats for pickup, where everything was at least $2-3 more expensive. Next time, we’ll just order directly at the store.

Delicious Sando spot reminded me of Japan. Bread is so fluffy and their shrimp and chicken sando was a good size. I also got their combo with their fries and was pleasantly surprised how tasty and well cooked their fries were as they had a bit of seasoning on it too.

Walking in, the place was well-lit and clean. The staff was attentive. We ordered the chicken, pork, prawn and breakfast katsupan. We also got the curry dipping sauce as well. The sauce compliments the chicken and pork very well. It adds more umami flavour to them. The prawn was well-balanced with the red sauce and had a nice crunchy texture to it. The breakfast katsupan was quite salty from the spam. A tangy sauce would have been nice to take away the saltiness a bit. The bread was the overall highlight of all four items. This place is worth a try!

Very delicious sandwich. I tried both chicken and prawn. The bread was so soft. The fries were freshly cooked. Though the food was a bit expensive, it was worth to try. But there was no place to eat inside and only take away.

We went to Katsupan on a weekend afternoon time and it was empty when we first walked in. We took some time to look at their bread selections on their wall and the menu. Unfortunately, our first impression of the cashier wasn’t that great, she looked visibly upset and she didn’t greet us. Initially, I thought it was just me but my companion also said the same thing. The cashier looked a lot happier when other customers walked in, maybe we did something to upset her. We got the Prawn Katsu Sando ($13) to try and it was honestly pretty delicious. The bread and breading of the prawn patty was crispy, and the prawn was well seasoned and soft. There was just enough Japanese mayo that it didn’t overpower the rest of the sandwich. We really enjoyed it, the only downside is that it is a bit small. Hopefully next time our experience with our server will be better, but I hope to try their other sandwiches!

So delicious!!! I dropped by Katsupan to try out their sandos. They have different flavours including chicken, prawn, and veggie. Their veggie sando changes seasonally depending on the vegetables which I love! This season is a roasted mushroom, caramelized onion, and charred corn in a falafel style which is soooo good. The prawn sando is so amazing too. I love the sauces, they have a chilli based sauce in the prawn one which is so good! It’s not too spicy, just enough for the perfect flavour. The bread is soft and works so well with the sandos. I also tried the French cocoa shokupan and matcha milk jam. They bake their bread fresh daily. I love the slight bitterness of the chocolate in the shokupan. I also love the matcha milk jam, it’s slightly sweet with a nice strong matcha flavour. It’s all hand made which is absolutely amazing! Overall, I love the sandos, bread, and jams they offer. I’ll definitely be back to try out the different sandos, especially the rotating veggie flavours! Find me on Instagram @fiandfood !
