Katsu Japanese Restaurant

We decided we wanted Japanese style food this evening and ventured a few blocks from home to Katsu. We opted to order the All You Can Eat special. We had the Tempura Yam, Chicken Yakatori skewers, Vegetable Rice, Beef Teriyaki and Edamame. The portions were a decent size but that really doesn’t matter as you can order several courses. All of the flavours were excellent but the two standouts were the skewers and beef teriyaki. It was nice to be able to space out the order as the dishes arrive fairly quickly, hot and fresh. Service was very attentive and upbeat however they were not that busy. We had to ask for forks because sadly our hashi (chop stick) skills are very poor. They appeared to have a lot of delivery orders as we noticed a few delivery folk arrive for pickup. We would go back.

Their food is pretty good! I like how their rolls are small and tasty. They are not big rolls that you can't even put in your mouth. The restaurant's decor is also pretty nice.

What wonderful service! The hostess is such a sweet, vibrant woman and the food was delicious! My bestie took me here for my birthday and I loved it! Wasn't able to take much pictures because was too busy enjoying the delicious salmon and sushi. (Gold sushi is so good!) clean restaurant and quiet! Bought take out dinner for my husband as well !

I went this Monday the restaurant was full but the servers greeted us warmly. Although they were busy they provided good quality food and service. The place is so good and has a lovely atmosphere.

Tried Katsu's all-you-can-eat. There's no difference between their lunch and dinner ayce offering, and I'd say this was lunch quality at dinner prices. While they did have over 80 items on the menu, I've seen more at that price point and at a better quality level (though this wasn't bad). Usual suspects were on there - sushi, sashimi, rolls, grilled and deep fried good, Asian icecream desserts, etc. Freshness was ok, neither good or bad. Service was quick. I know people who like this place so maybe their regular offering is better.

Great place and atmosphere. The food was delicious and the portion size was big. Great value for the money. I'll definitely return. The server was also very attentive. We got a free desert 😋

Highly recommend chicken yakitori; it was served with fried coleslaw and steamed Rice and the Chicken thighs were crispy and juicy. Edamame is plain with a bit of salt and will have a chance to taste naturally tasty.

The food was delicious, I always try to order the fuyu bento box when I stop by here for either lunch dinner. You will receive a great value of food items. Definitely the spot to by when you're interested in sushi. Been going here for years, and everytime I stop by the quality has been maintained exceptionally well! Added addition is a complimentary dessert after your dine in meal 😊 Update June 07 2022 - Went with our family today, food was very good, atmosphere was very nice, with courteous staff. Definitely come again! 😁
