My boyfriend lives in the area, and I’m always around too, so we often pass by this restaurant and wonder why it’s so empty. Today, we decided to try it since we were craving sushi. They sat us in a covered booth, which we loved because we’re introverts and appreciate our privacy, especially while eating. We ordered the Maki Dinner D and Takoyaki. The Maki Dinner came with a small side salad and miso soup—the salad dressing was amazing, and the miso soup was hot and comforting. When our sushi arrived, it was incredible; it melted in our mouths and tasted fantastic. I’m not sure why this place is empty, maybe because of the location, but you should definitely give it a chance. Its truly a hidden gem.

Everyone was so friendly and the service was very fast. Presentation was beautiful which I appreciate as we were celebrating something. Will be coming back to try more things. They had cute little dishes that came out before what we ordered came out (soup salad and a noodle thing) Pork katsu was amazing, so nice and crispy. You can taste the sushi was fresh and made with care. Sashimi was soo soft melt in the mouth

Fantastic hidden-gem of a sushi restaurant. The sushi is high quality and the prices are reasonable. They also include a miso-noodle dish with tempura bits as an additional appetizer. A must try for sure

Third time here , definitely a cozy place to have dinner with friends and wonderful conversations. I love their presentation of their dishes. Fair priced . And there is a cash discount . Sushi chef was friendly and server was so helpful and friendly . There are three homemade teas I tired to both were good . I would definitely come back .

My Mom and I stop by this sweet gem on our way home from Toronto to Niagara. We ALWAYS have to stop by after discovering this hidden beauty. The fish is amazing and so buttery, the presentation is gorgeous and we absolutely love the staff. Thank you for the complimentary shrimp tempura and ice cream, we’ll see you guys soon!

This chef wanted to go on break so she burnt my chicken and it was also raw and gooey/pink inside in different places. It was gross and I was disgusted. I noted this to the waitress and even when she went to the chef (they were sitting directly across from me munching away with no care given) she continued eating and enjoying her food. No one cared or even said sorry. The fact that she/no one even came to address this issue is enough for me to tell all my friends and family to never come here. I was liking this place and becoming a regular, but after this terrible experience I will never come back here. That chef is appalling. I'm posting now after some more considerations on this review and i think it is deserving.

Salmon was a bit rubbery and spicy salmon was dry. Volcano roll was good though. Overall, pretty decent sushi and decently priced. Better places around but not the worst.

Nestled in the alleyway of the plaza located at Bayview and Cummer, this unassuming place has charm, ambience, service and food that brings me back to Japan. We took a booth and ordered udon noodles, sushi bento, salmon bento, monster roll, Bulgogi dinner. The tempura batter was crispy and didn’t feel overly battered like other restaurants. The bone broth starter was absolutely delicious and the miso soup and salad was not salty yet flavourful. Everything we ate tasted fresh and food portions were not considered small. I was feeling quite full be the time we finished our meal. The service was pleasant and always greeted us with a smile. The washrooms were clean and tidy. If I am in this neighbourhood again and craving sushi, I will definitely return here! Try it out!
