At Kabalen Restaurant, we bring the rich and flavourful taste of Capampangan cuisine to Toronto, Canada. Our culinary journey began on November 18, 2012, when we first opened our doors to food enthusiasts seeking a taste of traditional Filipino dishes like no other. Our name Kabalen means Kabayan, which reflects the idea of having our kababayan here in canada to enjoy our authentic filipino dishes. We are a fast casual service, we do not offer full table service but we present higher quality food than fast food restaurants. It is an intermediate concept between fast food and casual dining. Our type of service is a unique, differentiating and engaging experience where it does feel like home.

Service was bad. Food tastes normal. The photo attached is a Combo 2 I ordered which is more than $13 - which is not worth it compared to the food served in all other Filipino restaurants in the area (Bathurst and Wilson). Among the five Filipino restaurants I have been in this area, the staff here are the least friendly. Nice decorations though.

This is, by far, the only Filipino restaurant in the GTA that truly offers the "3Gs": Great Food, Great Service, and a Great Atmosphere. It stands out for its Lutong Bahay (home-cooked) style dishes. I appreciate the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the place, and, most importantly, the amazing food.

This wonderful breakfast promotion of Kabalen was a cool idea! Me and my bestfriend were looking for a breakfast restaurant and we decided to go to KABALEN and try their Almusal sa Kabalen. We had an amazing experience when it comes to the variety of foods they have, and very friendly staff service.

As a Filipino, this restaurant has become a cherished spot for me and my mom. We often visit to order kakanin (Filipino delicacies), and it's also our go-to place to bring friends from different countries to try authentic Filipino food. The food here is absolutely delicious and reminds me of home-cooked meals by my grandmother. The staff are incredibly friendly and always make me feel at home, which I really appreciate. The place is also very clean, adding to the pleasant dining experience. The prices are quite expensive, but I can say it's kinda worth it for the quality and taste of the food. If you're looking for a taste of the Philippines or want to introduce friends to Filipino cuisine, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

We weren't familiar with Filipino food so we weren't sure what each of the dishes were on display. The staff was able to explain what they were but it would be helpful to see a written explanation. Otherwise, the food was great!
