Ever craved a stew so comforting it feels like a bear hug? Jung Soo Ne Bonga delivers exactly that with their Ground Soybean Stew (D22 or D27). It’s thick, savory, and warms you from the inside out. Don’t sleep on the Grilled Mackerel either; the crispy skin and smoky finish will have you nodding in pure fishy satisfaction. The Spicy Stir-Fried Pork (D15) was less impressive. Let’s just say it’s lacking that “wow” factor. But the rest of the menu keeps the good vibes flowing. Bonus points for the free Wi-Fi and the polite nudge from a digital bell whenever you need the server’s attention. If you’re looking for a laid-back Korean spot with comforting dishes, give this place a whirl.

Visited Jeongsu’s Steel Bonga Restaurant, and honestly, this place is a hidden gem for Korean food lovers! In Korea, we’d call this a proper birthday feast—everything on the table looked like it was made to celebrate. From crispy pajeon, tender galbi, and hearty galbitang to the perfectly seasoned soy-marinated crab and spicy marinated crab, every dish was packed with authentic flavors. If you’re craving real Korean food, this is THE spot to run to! Living in Toronto feels like a dream when you find places like this. Is this even Toronto, or have I been teleported straight to Korea? 🦀🍖🔥

came here solely for the marinated crab but we ordered other stuff as well. the crab is a must try. fresh, sweet, no fishy taste. goes perfect with rice. the other stuf were ok too. we went a bit earlier than usual dinner hours. but it was starting to get busy as wel finished.

One of my best friends and her boyfriend took me and my fiancé to this place, as I’ve always wanted to try raw marinated crab. I finally got to have some authentic versions of the dish from this homey Korean restaurant and I absolutely loved everything! The restaurant is quite popular with large families as everyone would get a booth and share main dishes with Banchan (반찬, known as Korean side dishes). It has a homey feel to the place, with simple but cozy wooden seating options. The menu had lots of different dishes to choose from (for main and sides) and had a section at the back on how to speak and ask questions in Korean! Our server was very friendly and gave some great recommendations. We got their Seafood Pancake, the Soy Raw Marinaded Crab and Gochujang Marinaded Crab, the Spicy Tteok-bokki, the cooked Beef Tendon and Spicy Fried Chicken. It was an absolutely DELICIOUS feast! Both types of raw marinaded crab were fresh and divine. The Soy one was naturally more salty and the Gochujang one was more spicy, but I thoroughly enjoyed both! The Beef Tendon was super tender and the fried chicken offered a spicy, crunchy reprieve. The Seafood Pancake also came out piping hot and full of delicious goodies such as octopus bits, scallions, shrimp, and much more. The Tteok-bokki was absolutely lovely! The rice cakes were chewy and it was spicy, slurpy and satisfying. The Banchan were also all delicious and some were refreshing palate cleansers. I highly recommend this place for scrumptious, authentic Korean dishes and it is one of the few places you can find delicious, raw marinaded crab!

Soy sauce raw crab is the most try item, but it’s a little bit salty, have to eat with rice. We also order seafood pancake and pork bone potato soup, seafood pancake is ok not really impressive, pork bone soup have lots of meat good values, taste good too The most need to order is raw crab, others thing depends on you!

I had raw soy sauce marinated crab for the first time here and it blew my mind!!! After a while, the marinade started getting a little too sweet for my personal taste, but nonetheless delicious! I'm in love with this dish now and need to have it again! Kimchi fried rice was good, and the beef rib bone soup broth was fantastic. The servers were so sweet and attentive, checking in on us regularly with smiles. Really a pleasure to deal with them. For our end-of-meal treat, they sent us off with Chupa-Chups lollipops, which was delightful and so nostalgic for me. They even had my favourite flavour (chocolate vanilla)! This place is great! Definitely coming back!

I came here just for the raw crab and it was worth it. I’ve been wanting to try raw crab for a while. The meat was fresh and soft, and the soy sauce marinade tasted great. The seafood pancake was also amazing, but the bibimbap was average. The restaurant felt homey and there seemed to be many locals.

We came here specifically for the marinated raw crab (blue crab). The crabs were well seasoned and had the perfect amount of spice. We also had the seafood pancake and a few other dishes to round out our meal. Everything was quickly prepared and nicely presented. On a side note, the cell phone signal was very weak, but there are posters with the WiFi password all over the restaurant.
